Distinguishing features:

The megapixel camera DS-2CD8253F-E is equipped with 1/3" CMOS sensor and IR cut filter mechanically removable (ICR). The native resolution is 1600x1200 pixels (UXGA). In B/W mode the camera can operate in total darkness (0 lx), due to built-in IR illuminator. The built-in varifocal lens (F1.2) enables change of focal length within the range 2.7-9 mm, for easy adjustment of the field of view.

The video data can be transmitted and displayed at the following frame rates:
- 12.5 fps for resolutions of 1600×1200 and 1600×912,
- 25 fps for resolutions of 1280×960 and 1280×720.

The camera uses NAS technology, so it has the ability to send data directly to the disk storage connected to the network, which significantly reduces the costs of maintaining CCTV systems. Video transmission via RTSP protocol allows the use of streaming video servers and access to the video embedded on websites for many users simultaneously.

The included stencil helps to drill holes in the wall, allowing precise positioning in a desired location. The camera is to be screwed to the supplied cable box, with the dedicated screwdriver. This solution greatly simplifies the installation of the device and provides isolation of connectors from the environment.

DS-2CD8253F-E K1450 cameras are recommended for hybrid CCTV systems using HIKVISION/ULTIMAX DVRs. The IVMS-4000 software, supplied with the cameras, allows for live monitoring, video recording and playback from up to 50 Hikvision devices, e.g. 25 IP cameras and 25 DVRs (regardless of the number of channels).

The software enables the user to set parameters of displaying and recording, configure network, perform remote firmware updates, define local users, manage network storage, handle alarm events.
