AP Client Osbridge 5GXi combines Access Point and highly efficient antenna. Its outdoor housing complies with IP65 rating. Power supply is provided via PoE adapter compliant with 802.3af standard. It is an ideal tool for creating WLAN backbones operating in 5GHz band. Easy management trough www enables the user to make even complex configuration of the device.

The system of Osbridge 5GXi is based on Linux, which enables direct access in text mode (telnet). The device has been equipped with two parallel and independent wireless circuits based on Atheros AR5006 chipsets with XR technology. Using two such devices, it is possible to setup point-to-point connection. There is also possibility of coopertion with other devices from Osbridge. 5GXi can be also used as clients of MikroTik, StarOs and other APs compliant with IEEE802.11a standard.

The integrated antenna with 23 dBi gain allows to create long-distance links. The software includes elaborate statistics tools providing information on the current status of connection and the interfaces. The whole set includes bracket, AC/DC adapter, PoE adapter and 10m cable (outdoor UTP).

It provides authentication to devices attached to a LAN port, establishing a point-to-point connection or preventing access from that port if authentication fails. It is used for certain closed wireless access points, and is based on the EAP, Extensible Authentication Protocol (RFC 2284).
