NETSET UTPw 5e E1410 is a top quality indoor UTP cable (twisted-pair cable) designed for use in computer networks. It is produced for DIPOL by renown European cable plant.
The latest high-performance IP CCTV cameras require appropriate quality of transmission medium. High resolutions of the cameras are connected with high bandwidth requirements. A very important feature of a UTP cable becomes the crosstalk between pairs.
Due to market demand DIPOL has introduced a new family of high-quality twisted-pair cables named NETSET.
- highest-quality materials, strict technological discipline confirmed by a 6-year quality guarantee;
- preliminary quality control of materials and thorough tests of the final product;
- meter markers;
- solid wires of 0.51 mm diameter (24 AWG);
- wire insulation made of homogeneous, colored PE; outer diameter: 1.02 mm; colors: white-green/green, white-orange/orange, white-brown/brown, white-blue/blue;
- insulated wires twisted in pairs of 2.04 mm diameter;
- pairs twisted together, in gel, all twisted with PET foil, outer diameter of 4.4 mm;
- sheath made of black PE, outer diameter of 6.8 mm;
- three packagings:
200m - E1410_200 (coil covered with foil),
500m - E1410_500 (spool).
The PE sheath is resistant to UV radiation and humidity. The center part of the cable is gel-filled and protected with PET foil. It protects the cable against water penetration. The cable is suitable for ground installations (in cable ducts).
NETSET UTPw cat 5e E1410 is manufactured in compliance with:
IEC 61156-6 (2000), ISO/IEC 11801 (2000), ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A (1995), EN 50173 (1999) norms.
IEC 61156-6 (2000), ISO/IEC 11801 (2000), ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A (1995), EN 50173 (1999) norms.
NETSET cables come with a 6-year warranty.
The warranty covers all manufacturing flaws that could be an effect of using defected materials, improper technical solutions or production process.
The manufacturer guarantees stability of the parameters given in the "Specifications" at least for six years, on the condition that the cable is packed, transported, installed, and used according to adequate European norms (among others: EN 50174-1), within the permissible environmental conditions (see the "Specifications" below).
The gel-filled NETSET UTPw 5e E1410 cable can be used in a wide temperature range: -20...+70 oC, and installed between -10 oC and +50 oC. Minimum bending radius factor (radius to diameter ratio) is 6.

The diagrams below are the results of automatic measurements of NETSET UTPw cat 5e E1410 cable made with FLUKE network device. The lines in the diagrams lying below the graphs show the minimum requirements for cat 5e cables. Strict technological discipline includes continuous measurements of all parameters.
Transmission parameters
NEXT (Near End CrossTalk) - electromagnetic interference (EMI) induced in a pair due to signal transmission in another pair, in the end closer to the end being measured (with the signal source). ELFEXT (Equal Level Far End Cross Talk) or FEXT (Far End CrossTalk) - electromagnetic interference (EMI) induced in a pair due to signal transmission in another pair, at the far end from the measurement point. FEXT is weaker at the other end due to attenuation of the crosstalk along the cable. ACR (Attenuation Crosstalk Ratio) - characterizes transmitting capabilities of the cable - it informs about the ratio of interferences coming from neighbor pairs to the useful signal. RL (Return Loss) is a measure of power reflected from imperfections in the cable, due to changeable impedance along the cable. In practice, the parameter strongly depends on cable termination (the length of untwisted wires, the way of leading). | ![]() |
The parameters measured for all pairs |
The diagrams show that NETSET UTPw 5e E1410 fulfills all requirements for cat 5e with a large safety margin.
