Color Day/Night Camera: Sunell SN-587C/A/10 SWD (w/o lens, mechanically switching IR filter)
The camera SN-587C/A/10 M11205 belongs to the newest group of cameras with Super Wide Dynamic sensor.
Cameras with this kind of sensor are resistant to overexposure of images caused by strong light, including front, reflected and rear excessive illumination.

Implementing the camera (with Wide Dynamic sensor) it is very important to adjust the parameters in real environmental conditions. It is the only way to take full advantage of the new functionality provided by the newest technology.
Setting properly dynamic range it is possible to avoid overexposure and underexposure in fragments of an image. The image will enable to distinguish details both in bright and dark areas of it. This feature is specially important in situations where the light comes from behind of an observed object..
The camera has very useful NightVision function. When it is activated, the device switches into B/W mode in low-light conditions. It eliminates excessive noise in the image that would appear in this situation.
The camera can be equipped with lenses with automatic iris, DC or Video type. It is important to choose adequate lens for the high-class camera to get the optimal set. For Sunell cameras we recommend to use quality glass lenses from Senko. The lesses will guarantee best possible image quality.
For color Day/Night cameras we recommend to use DayNight lenses - specially prepared for night operation with IR illumination.
M2231 Lens: 3-8.5 mm, Day/Night - from SENKO
M2181 Lens: 3-8.5 mm, Day/Night - from SENKO
M2182 Lens: 7.5-50 mm, Day/Night - from SENKO

In the SN-587C/10 camera there is implemented OSD menu. All parameters can be set with buttons on the back panel of the housing.
To ease the procedure of adjustment the manufacturer has anticipated saving several key settings in nonvolatile memory, to which one can add finishing touches in the place of installation.

The user has full control over all parameters, from video norm, through AWB, ES, BLC, Gamma, ...., to specific settings connected with WDS (Wide Dynamic Sensor).
Apart from high-quality image the camera has many additional features that allow for flexible operation and permit optimal adjustment to particular requirements.
- RS485 interface (9-pin socket). It also comprises pins for alarm facilities (in/out),
- 2x digital zooming (with this function switched on the image is cyclically changed from "full screen" to "enlargement"- of a part of it - and vice versa.
- displaying earlier entered name (of the camera).
The cameras are indispensable in all places where there is a high probability of overexposure in the case of using popular cameras. Typical applications include night observation of roads and streets, poorly-lighted parking lots, main gateways. The implemented "Mirror" function (mirror image) is often used in such applications.
