Fiber optic video converter ULTIMODE V-216D L2921 enables transmission of 16 video channels and one telemetry data channel (RS-485) via one optic fiber, over a distance up to 20 km.

The ULTIMODE V-216D video converter uses the latest optical technology which ensures transmission of 16 video channels and 1 one-way RS-485 data channel (in opposite direction - from the video receiver to the video transmitter) via a single optical fiber. It is possible due to the use of wavelength-division multiplexing technology (WDM) - different wavelengths carry different signals, over one strand of fiber, which significantly lowers installation costs. The equipment uses dedicated SFP WDM modules with LC connector. The L2921 set contains 2 devices - video transmitter marked "T" and video receiver marked "R". The devices are intended for placing in a 19" RACK cabinets.
One of the devices transmits optical signal in the III transmission window (1550 nm), whereas the second uses the II window (1310 nm). Sensitivity of the receiver and output power of the transmitter is adapted to transmit information up to 20 km. In the case of shorter distances (up to 2 km), it is required to use additional 2dB attenuators by the receivers. They will protect them against "burning". Durable laser diode with Fabry-Perot resonator ensures the mean-time-between-failure (MTBF) at least of 100000 hours (more than 11 years).
The set is compatible with NTSC/PAL/SECAM systems and ensures high quality transmission of live video over distances up to 20 km, much longer than those offered by standard devices. The possibility of sending control signal (RS-485) from the video receiver to the video transmitter allows to use PTZ cameras.

NOTICE!! It is not allowed to look directly at the fiber port when the device is plugged. The radiation invisible for the human eye can damage the retina!
The video converter V-216D only works with installed SFP module.
