| Megapixel cameras are the future of video surveillance of cities, housing developments, stadiums and other sports facilities, industrial plants, schools, and private properties. Quick development of image sensors, efficient processors for compressing video data, surveillance software for managing the systems, recording, and image analysis - is the reason for rapid growth of the number of installed megapixel cameras. Only second-class low-cost monitoring systems are being based on analog cameras, capable of providing images of maximum resolution of 705 x 576 pixels (4CIF/D1) - lower than in the case of the video from Wawel Castle in Krakow.
