RPT-12BO makes a complete set designed for outdoor use as Access Point working in 5 GHz band and compliant with 802.11a standard. It is suitable for setting up point-to-point or point-to-multipoint links. Due to good parameters the device can operate very well as a base station. The integrated omnidirectional antenna with 12 dBi gain, vertical polarization and angle of radiation (vertically) equal to 6 degrees enables to establish connections over longer distances. It ensures better parameters than majority of omnidirectional antennas on the market.

High transfer rate (real value ca 36 Mbps, i.e. over 20 000 packets/s) allows for applications requiring transfer of large amount of data, e.g. video streams from IP cameras, videoconferences, extensive WLAN systems etc.

This Raptor device is base on Power PC from AMCC and uses Linux OS, which makes it efficient and flexible tool for an experienced network administrator - there is available configuration via telnet and ssh. On the other hand, WWW management allows for easy configuration by less experienced users.
