Application
The AM-407 amplifier has been designed for outdoor use as a mast device. It is used for signal amplification to a level required by several receivers. It can be fed from typical 24 V / 100 mA power supply with RF/DC separator.
Feeding from another amplifiers providing power through the coax cable is also possible. While connecting preamplifiers it must be remembered to check the overall current consumption in order not to exceed the power supply's maximum capacity, or in advance to choose adequate one. The amplifier is characterized by low noise ratio.
Installation and security notes
AM-407 amplifiers are fed through a coaxial cable with 24 V voltage, from a stabilized power supply with RF/DC separator. The amplifier is designed for mast mounting, and it can work in open spaces. To avoid any possible damage the power should not be switched on until all connections have been properly made.
It is advised to use the ZS 24/100 ( R90346) or AL-100 power supply ( R90386). The device can also be supplied from CA-210 R90460 amplifier, or any other amplifier which can provide power of 24 V voltage through a cable and has at least 50 mA free capacity. Optional preamplifiers can be put into UHF paths and pass-through powered, up to 50 mA (the FM+BI+BII and BIII inputs are not anticipated for such purpose).
