The amplifier is designed for using together with multiswitches, e.g. when the distance between the multiswitch and terminal socket(s) is to big for direct connection. But the main purpose for employing the AI-414 device is splitting satellite and TV/FM signals within an apartment or house, where several outlets are needed. It is well to remember that within the apartment installation only one satellite receiver can be used, which may be connected to any of the outputs. The terrestrial signals are simultaneously available at all outlets. The amplifier transmits reversely any possible control signals: DiSEqC, 22 kHz, 14/18 V.
The amplifier has got additional input that can be used to connect another available signal (e.g. from community antenna installation) if needed.
