TV/SAT Installation Diagram - 5-input Multiswitches - Apartment Buildings
This is an example of an installation in an apartment building. This system enables the users to receive any TV program from any TV-SAT outlet in the apartment. Subscribers of SAT television are able to connect their SAT tuners and receive programming from one of the two satellites whose selection can be arranged with the administrator of the building. An antenna and a diplexer are installed on the roof, a set of amplifiers, splitters in the attic. The system provides a future expansion capability, for instance, monitoring as used in this installation. Each apartment can be connected to the system of multiswitches from the building landing. While building a brand new house or during the renovation or upgrading of the old one, the user should remember about laying down wiring to every room where TV-SAT outlets are to be installed. It is also a good idea to make a little investment in a good quality SAT cable so the cabling does not have to be replaced every few years. Due to the complexity of this installation (precision of calculation) the design should be assigned to a professional company. The great disadvantage of this system is the lack of option to choose programs from two satellites on the part of the end-user. That would require an installation of additional cabling and antenna outlets.
