Signal R694140 is designed for installations where one coaxial cable feeds terrestrial TV, FM radio, and satellite TV signals (SAT1), and second one provides another independent satellite signal (SAT2). This ensures two independent satellite signals for a double-tuner PVR receiver (capable of recording any SAT channel while watching another).
Another application of the SAT2 output (with return channel) is the injection of a modulated RF signal (from a SAT receiver, DVD player etc.) that is to be distributed within home installation.
