The videoserver SED-2140 of ACTi Corporation allows for compression of analog video signal into MPEG-4 stream, and its transmission via Ethernet (WAN, LAN). The main design guidelines were quality, reliability, and effective MPEG-4 streaming.
The SED-2140T uses processor from Arm9 family. The video server enables the user to select option of manual or automatic choice of frame rate - to match it with available bandwidth. It is equipped with alarm input/output and RS-232/422/485 interface. There is possibility of bidirectional audio transmission.
In comparison with standard SED-2140 K2112 version, the SED-2140T has broader range of operation temperature (-30 to 70 oC), which makes it suitable for systems working in extreme conditions.
