The separator enables to supply DC power to antenna amplifiers in situations when it is not possible to feed them from power supply units with a separator. Another application will be in the situation when the available power supply is not efficient enough or does not have a separator. The device can be installed, for instance, between an antenna amplifier and a passive splitter (not able to pass DC power).
