12V/5.5W Heater with Thermostat for Camera Housings

The thermostat TT-12E, powered with 12VDC source, is designed for use in the following housings: TP-601, TP-606, TP-607, TH-200. The M5614 device is protected against reverse connection.

After unscrewing the housing the device should be sticked to the base of the housing, and connected to 12VDC supplying circuit (red lead to "+", black to "-"). NOTICE! When installing thermostats one should consider their influence on voltage drop in the supplying circuit (resistance of the typical CCTV cable - YAP75-0.59/3.7+2x0.5 - is 5.4 ohm / 100 m, of one wire!).

As an example - with the heater switched on (5.5W), typical camera (3W), and 30 m long YAP75-0.59/3.7+2x0.5 cable - the voltage at the set will fall to 10V only (when using 12V supplier), probably causing improper work of the camera. So after TT-12 has been installed, one should carry out the test: short the contacts on the board (e.g. with a screwdriver - it switches on the heater) and measure the supplying voltage or observe the image from the camera. In case of improper work there will be needed some measures taken in system supplying.
