Details

TP-Link TL-MR3420 enables quick creation of a wireless/wired network allowing access to the Internet via a 3G/3.75G/4G (LTE) connection or traditional DSL line. The device allows wireless transmission speed up to 300 Mbps (802.11n) and LAN connectivity (Ethernet) up to 100 Mbps. Communication with the Internet via a 3G/3.75G/4G network is done through the USB interface, which has to be connected to the suitable modem (the list of compatible devices is available here).
Main features:
  • Possibility of data transmission through a UMTS/HSPA/LTE network (via an external USB modem),
  • Failover function enabling automatic switching between 3G and WAN interface in the case of an Internet connection loss through the current medium,
  • Wireless AP (802.11n, 300 Mb/s)
  • QSS
  • WDS
  • Bandwidth control mechanism (IP-layer QoS)
If the main Internet connection is provided through a DSL connection and a temporary link failure occurs, the failover function of the TP-Link wireless router can automatically switch it to the 3G network connected via an external USB modem. Such a solution is ideal for offices and businesses, where a loss of Internet connection would mean problems for normal business activity. After repairing the DSL failure, the device will automatically switch to the original state (access to the Internet via DSL line).

How to boost LTE signal?

Solution for "slow" Internet, caused by weak LTE network signal. Swapping an OEM antenna for a professional, external one, significantly improves LTE signal level, which boosts data transmission speeds. In this movie, TP-Link Archer MR200 LTE router was connected to ATK-LOG ALP LTE MIMO 2x2 Antenna.
