Hikvision DS-7732NXI-I4/16P/S(C) is a modern, 32-channel IP recorder, recording image from IP cameras with a resolution of 12 MP. It has a built-in 16-port PoE switch for direct connection and supplying of IP cameras. Independent HDMI (resolution up to 4K) and VGA (resolution up to 1080p) allow you to connect two monitors. The view on each can be configured independently, different window divisions and are possible and the image from any camera can be displayed on each of them. 4 SATA ports enable connection of hard drives with a capacity of up to 10 TB each. If the memory is full, automatic overwriting is triggered to prevent the loss of the latest data. The built-in USB ports allow you to connect a USB flash drive or external disk and copy specific fragments to external data carriers.
The recorder supports the AcuSense technology, which allows you to filter human/vehicle type objects. For cameras with a resolution of up to 2 MP not supporting AcuSense, this function can be performed by the recorder. When cameras with AcuSense are connected to the recorder, they will work with all channels with the maximum supported resolution. Thanks to accurate recognition capability, the system can filter out almost all false alarms. The recorder has also the option of face analysis and detection, which can work in 4 channels. It is possible to create up to 16 face libraries based on which the control will be performed. The ability to compare faces allows you to quickly find a specific person (perimeter protection and face analysis cannot work in parallel). Support for cameras dedicated to identifying license plates ANPR, PTZ cameras, VCA analysis and the possibility of integration with cash registers using POS allows the recorder to be used for projects with various advancement levels. Intelligent options for searching and analyzing recordings allow you to quickly extract a fragment of interest from the recorded footage.

Artificial Intelligence AI and AcuSense
Artificial intelligence plays a key role in CCTV systems. Cameras and recorders with AcuSense technology analyze the image based on a deep learning algorithm. They reflect the structure and principles of the human brain. As in the brain, learning creates connections between artificial neurons (programs) and creates a multi-layer artificial neural network. The algorithm individually analyzes model photos and recordings, looking for common features, and then creates appropriate connections. The so-called layers, responsible for detecting a specific feature, are built this way. The more layers an algorithm has, the more accurate the analysis is. Therefore, teaching with large amounts of data is crucial. Only multi-layer networks can collect information and perform appropriate actions, in particular automatic extraction and representation of features (patterns) present in the data, teaching the network for example to recognize faces, vehicle brands, animal species or incident, e.g. a fall. The presented recorder model has two key AI functions, which include:
  • perimeter protection (filtering of human/vehicle objects)
  • face recognition (face analysis and detection, face comparison, library creation)

NOTE! Perimeter protection and face recognition cannot work simultaneously. Enabling one function will make the others unavailable.
Perimeter protection
Perimeter protection ensures early detection of people who intend to violate the protected area. When building a security system, its resistance to false alarms, triggered by e.g. animals, moving trees, leaves, shadows, weather conditions, etc. is extremely important. Ideal for such surveillance applications are cameras and recorders with the AcuSense technology which analyzes objects based on the Deep Learning algorithm, considering events meeting certain criteria as real threats. The model of recorder described has an option of filtering false alarms of a human/vehicle objects in 4 channels, enabling the classification of objects according to the silhouette of a person or a vehicle (for cameras not supporting the AcuSense). Once the AcuSense cameras are connected, they will be fully supported in all channels. This type of solution allows for an effective reduction of false alarms and quick search for the registered ones

Face analysis
The recorder has 4 channels to which cameras with the face capture function can be connected. If the cameras do not support this function, it can be run by the recorder in 1 channel. Up to 16 face libraries can be created in the recorder based on which the control will be performed. It is also possible to upload a photo from the outside in order to search the database.
H.265 (+) compression
Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

iVMS-4200 client software
iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems, such as recorders (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems by offering viewing from IP cameras, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, handling of alarm events, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, recording to a HDD and many more.

Access via P2P cloud - Hik-Connect application
Hikvision devices can be operated via mobile phones with Android or iOS using the dedicated Hik-Connect mobile application. It can be used for remote live viewing from DVRs, NVRs, IP cameras, video intercoms over the WiFi, 2G or 3G and to view saved recordings. Operating video intercoms with the application provides also remote opening of the electric strike, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the subscriber. The application supports connectivity over IP and a P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of the cloud service that provides access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.
Continuity of recordings guaranteed thanks to the ANR function
The image from the IP camera is sent to the recorder as a data stream. Thanks to the support of the ANR (Automatic Network Replenishment) function, the Hikvision IP camera equipped with a microSD card can save recordings on it in the event of network failure, i.e. problems with communication between the camera and the recorder. After the problem is solved, the recordings are automatically synchronized with the recorder and marked with a different color on the playback bar. Such a solution guarantees the continuity of recordings and boosts the entire system performance.

The main window of the SADP software
SADP (Search Active Device Protocol) is a free, easy-to-use utility designed to search for Hikvision IP cameras and DVRs/NVRs in the local network. The network device search tool can also be used to modify device network parameters, e.g. to change or recover default passwords.
