The NVR undergoes Hikvision project rules. It means that the wholesale price of the NVR depends on the characteristics of the proposed project and is subject to negotiation.
Hikvision DS-9632NI-I8 is a modern 32-channel IP recorder, recording image from IP cameras with a resolution of 12 MP. It is equipped with two HDMI outputs and two VGA outputs that device can be directly connected with to a computer monitor or TV without the "intermediary" of a computer. The image between HDMI1/VGA1 outputs and HDMI2/VGA2 outputs can be displayed independently. 8 SATA ports allow you to connect up to 8 hard drives with a total capacity of up to 80 TB. In addition, support for NAS (NFS) and SAN (iSCSI) network storage arrays is supported. If the memory is full, automatic overwriting is triggered to prevent the loss of the latest data. Built-in USB and eSATA ports, allow you to plug in a flash drive or external drive and copy specific sections to external storage media. Support for cameras dedicated to identifying license plates ANPR, PTZ cameras, VCA analysis and the possibility of integration with cash registers using POS allows the recorder to be used for projects with various advancement levels. Intelligent options for searching and analyzing recordings allow you to quickly extract a fragment of interest from the recorded footage.
The DS-9632NI-I8 DVR can be part of a system with a self-switching N+1 backup device. Such a system consists of working recorders and a backup recorder, which in case of damage to the working recorder takes over its function. If the working recorder is restored the recordings will be synchronized. The backup recorder must have at least the same number of channels as the largest working recorder in the system. In the device described, the operating mode of the hard drives can be configured as redundant, read-only or read/write. It is also possible to manage hard disk capacity usage limits and allocate different capacities to different channels. During normal operation of the recorder, it is possible to replace hard drives supporting data storage according to RAID 0/1/5/6/10. The drives can be turned on and off on demand.

The DVR supports VCA alarms (e.g., line crossing, intrusion detection, area entry and exit, etc.) that can be generated and sent by Hikvision IP cameras. To use this functionality, the camera must support the VCA alarm in question. When a triggering criterion is met, a specific alarm action can be triggered, such as: triggering an alarm output, sending an email, notifying a monitoring center, etc., depending on the configuration. Extensive analytic functions allow for more advanced projects, quick searches for events of interest, and smart recording that saves hard drive space.
You can connect AcuSense series cameras equipped with Motion Detection 2.0 algorithm to the DVR. The motion detection system 2.0 can analyze detection events in terms of human or vehicle detection. Thanks to that, alarm notifications are filtered and unnecessary alarms are blocked. Recordings stored on the DVR, can be easily and quickly searched for human/vehicle criteria.
Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.
H.265/H.265+ - higher compression ratios with preserving video quality provided by H.264
iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems, such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems by offering viewing from IP cameras, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, handling of alarm events, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, recording to a HDD and many more.
A mobile application Hik-Connect is dedicated to operate Hikvision devices using cell phones with the operating system Android or iOS. It can be used to remotely view live video from DVR, NVR, network cameras, video intercoms using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks as well as to view recorded video. Video intercoms can be operated with the application which additionally allows for remote opening of electric doors, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the resident. The application supports connectivity via IP and the P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of a cloud-based service that allows access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.
The image from the IP camera is sent to the recorder as a data stream. Thanks to the support of the ANR (Automatic Network Replenishment) function, the Hikvision IP camera equipped with a microSD card can save recordings on it in the event of network failure, i.e. problems with communication between the camera and the recorder. After the problem is solved, the recordings are automatically synchronized with the recorder and marked with a different color on the playback bar. Such a solution guarantees the continuity of recordings and boosts the entire system performance.

Our library provides an overview of applications dedicated for installers and users of monitoring systems based on Hikvision devices.
SADP (Search Active Device Protocol) is a free, easy-to-use utility designed to search for Hikvision IP cameras and DVRs/NVRs in the local network. The network device search tool can also be used to modify device network parameters, e.g. to change or recover default passwords. Detailed information on the software, its use and password recovery (par. 8) can be found in the following article: SADP application - LAN tool for organizing CCTV systems based on Hikvision devices.
