Details

Multiswitches from MV series are dedicated for medium and large SMATV systems with distribution of SAT IF and terrestrial TV signals, however they can also be used in smaller installations.
The MV-532 R70732 multiswitch has got built-in amplifiers for terrestrial and satellite TV. The adjustment of the SAT IF and DVB-T gain is made with dedicated switches. In comparison with potentiometers, this solution increases stability of the adjustments.
The die-cast housing provides high screening efficiency by preventing the penetration of interfering signals to the unit. The high maximum output level and compensation of the attenuation caused by coaxial cables, plus outputs with graded signal levels - allow for building large systems with cable runs up to 80 meters (between outputs and subscriber outlets).
The multiswitch can be powered remotely from the SA-51 R70501 amplifier or locally from the R71465 power supply unit. In each case one power source can supply power to a number of the multiswitches (the maximum current consumption of the multiswitch is 100 mA).
Key features
  • radial structure
  • built-in compensation of cable attenuation
  • groups of outputs with different output levels
  • isolation between outputs better than 30 dB
  • active terrestrial path
  • die-cast housing provides high screening efficiency (class A)
Recommended Library titles:
* two transponders/multiplexes

How to connect a Quatro LNB to Terra multiswitch

Descriptions of the satellite LNB outputs and the multiswitch inputs depend on their manufacturers. To avoid confusion, our movie illustrates the differences and clarifies the issue.

Designing SMATV systems with TERRA SatNet software

Designing antenna systems with the use of free software from TERRA - SatNet application. The program allows to prepare the project in graphical form, to determine signal levels in all outlets and verify if they are compliant with standards, and to decide whether to use equalization function of the amplifiers. The program enables the user to archive the designs.
