NanoBeam-5AC-GEN2 is an 802.11ac access point operating in 5 GHz band. Thanks to excellent beam directivity, the device provides better performance in high-noise environments than other solutions of similar size. The built-in antenna has gain of 19 dBi, the integrated wireless module has maximum output power of 26 dBm and 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port. The real TCP/IP throughput can reach 450 Mbps. Ubiquiti NanoBeam M5 can operate in Router or Bridge mode. Its wireless interface supports Access Point, Access Point WDS, Client, and Client WDS modes. The device is compatible with MikroTik RouterOS platform.
AirMax™ TDMA protocol allows for elimination of "hidden nodes" problem by allocating for them time slots (TDMA) for collision-free communication. It enables maximum throughput even with dozens of client stations connected to the access point. Additionally, the included AirControl application can be used for central management of up to 100 devices.
The use of the mounting kit
The way of mounting offers the freedom of three-axis alignment. No screws are required for pole mounting (only a hose clamp), and only a single wall screw (not included) is needed for wall mounting.
