Details
The R70501 SA-51 amplifier is designed for use in SMATV systems based on 5-input multiswitches. It has four satellite inputs and DVB-T/DAB/FM (Terr.TV) input. Placed on the input of the SMATV system, the device amplifies and equalizes the signals before further distribution.
Key features:
- amplification and equalization of four SAT IF signals (polarization-band pairs),
- amplification of DVB-T/DAB/FM signals,
- compensation of coaxial cable attenuation,
- power supply for other system components: LNBs, DVB-T preamplifiers, multiswitches, other amplifiers,
- die-cast housing guarantying high screening efficiency (class A)
The use of SA-51/51D amplifiers allows for building large multiswitch systems distributing signals even to hundreds of subscriber outlets. The adjustment of the SAT IF and DVB-T/DAB/FM gain is made with dedicated switches. In comparison with potentiometers, this solution increases stability of the adjustments. The die-cast housing provides high screening efficiency by preventing the penetration of interfering signals to the unit.
The device has push-pull amplifier in the terrestrial path and built-in switching-mode power supply. Aside from powering LNB and multiswitches, there is option of supplying power to a DVB-T preamplifier (12 VDC).

Designing antenna systems with the use of free software from TERRA - SatNet application. The program allows to prepare the project in graphical form, to determine signal levels in all outlets and verify if they are compliant with standards, and to decide whether to use equalization function of the amplifiers. The program enables the user to archive the designs.
