Details

The camera is a part of project-based approach of Hikvision. It means that the wholesale price of the camera depends on the characteristics of the proposed project and is subject to negotiation.
The DS-2TP21B-6AVF/W is a handheld bispectral thermographic camera designed for temperature measurement in real time with high accuracy of /- 0.5°C in temperature range 30°C to 45°C. This type of solution is ideally suited to facilities where the temperature of a large number of people has to be measured in a short time (initial screening). This highly efficient camera is able to measure the temperature of approx. 60 people/min without close contact between the operator and the person examined. The operator is notified by an alarm when the temperature limit is exceeded. The camera is powered by a 5 VDC, 2 A Li-ion battery.
Camera descriptioin
The camera has a thermal imaging sensor with a resolution of 160 x 120 px and a visible light sensor with a resolution of 8 MP. A built-in LCD touch display with a resolution 640 x 480 px allows for direct temperature reading from the camera. Four modes of image viewing on the LCD display (thermal view, fusion, picture-in-picture (PIP) and optical view), and 7 color palettes are available, enabling color scheme adjustment to the user's preferences. Image capture and video recording modes are available. Text and voice information can be added to the captured photo, and the temperature measurement parameters to be applied can be selected, e.g. the warmest or coldest point in the image, etc. The camera has also a real-time audible alarm and enables automatic transmission of the pictures taken. A built-in Wi-Fi module enables remote viewing on a PC monitor or a smartphone display using dedicated applications.
NOTE! Current software version is available
Applications and installation
Thermal imaging cameras with a temperature measurement function can be used wherever a quick temperature measurement of a large number of people is required in a short time, in facilities including factories, offices, hospitals, railway stations, stores, airports, schools, etc. It is recommended to take measurements indoors in windless conditions, away from doors (with no impact of weather conditions).
Principle of operation and advantages of thermal imaging
A thermal imaging camera is a perfect complement to visual monitoring in the reflected visible light and near-infrared radiation. Analog or IP cameras used in video monitoring enable correct identification and recognition of people during the day and at night with the use of infrared illuminators. A thermal imaging camera does not need any lighting for proper operation. Its operating principle is completely different than in the case of traditional cameras. Any body with a temperature above absolute zero (0 K = -273.15°C) emits infrared radiation. Due to the existing relationship between the temperature and radiation intensity, a thermal imaging camera, receiving the far-infrared radiation, calculates temperature values based on the wavelengths of the radiation. So, a thermal imaging camera can show the temperature distribution on the surface of the examined body and measure the temperature values.
