Details
Antenna suitable for DVB-T/T2 signal reception
The A4015 logarithmic-periodic antenna is dedicated for receiving digital terrestrial DVB-T/T2 television broadcasts in VHF (174...230 MHz) and UHF (470...790 MHz) bands with horizontal, vertical or mixed polarizations (the VHF and UHF sections can be individually mounted in the suitable ways). The main features of the antenna include the ease of installation, practically constant gain in the whole frequency range, and 75 ohm output impedance (no need for a balun, F connector included).
The antenna was designed by specialists from the S. Staszic AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków from the Department of Electronics. The number of radiating elements and their shape were optimised using specialised software to ensure the required operating parameters. The implementation of a dual-band antenna allowed a reduction in the antenna's dimensions compared to a classic broadband antenna solution.
The A4015 antenna is a typical city antenna for receiving DVB-T/T2 signals in the full VHF + UHF frequency range in horizontal, vertical or mixed polarisation. It can be mounted on an antenna mast on the roof or on a bracket to the wall or balcony railing.
Radiators made of hardened aluminum alloy have diameter of 3.92 mm. The longest radiator can withstand permanent load equivalent to the weight of 0.8 kg placed on any of its two ends. For comparison, a pigeon weights no more than 0.4 kg.
