Application
CA-215 Amplifier is used as distributing device in small or private antenna installations, to ensure proper level of signal for multiple receivers. The amplifier works in 40 - 400 MHz and 470 - 862 MHz bands. Thanks to separate gain adjustment for VHF and UHF band, the levels can be set to fit the strength of the signals.
This makes it easier to do installations using single coax to send signals from all the antennas (combined by a diplexer/multiplexer). The amplifier can be used in some cable networks and group installations. As there is an empty space in the working band, those networks can't use S30 - S38 channels. The amplifier is recommended in situations where signal level is low. There is possibility of using additional preamplifier powered through the input of CA-215.
Security notice for amplifier users
CA-215 amplifier is fed from internal stabilized power supply. It is not designed for use in open spaces. It cannot be installed in wet conditions, nor near heaters and similar equipment. It is necessary to provide adequate ventilation. To avoid any possible damage, power should not be provided until all connections are properly made. The amplifier allows to feed preamplifiers with 12 V voltage and maximum current of 60 mA, which is suitable for most typical antenna preamplifiers.
