Ceiling IP Camera: Hikvision DS-2CD1143G2-LIU (4 MP 2.8 mm, 0.005 lx, hybrid illuminator up to 30 m, Audio, MD2.0, IK08, H.265)

DS-2CD1143G2-LIU is an IP ceiling camera with a hybrid illuminator from Hikvision, part of the EasyIP Lite series. The cameras in this series have the basic, most commonly used functions, so they are ideal for most systems where stable and trouble-free operation is required. motion detection 2.0 function eliminates false alarms by filtering out human/vehicle type objects. The 4 MP 1/3" CMOS sensor and an IR illuminator with a range up to 30 m ensure proper visibility in low-light conditions. Thanks to the IR and LED illuminator in one housing, it is possible to select one of three low-light modes: IR, LED white light or smart mode. The 2.8 mm fixed focal length lens allows for 98° observation. Built-in microphone enables audio recording. Support for the legacy and latest H.265(+) compression methods allows for the archiving time of recordings to be extended while maintaining excellent image quality and backward compatibility. The IP67 rated housing protects the inside electronic components from adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered conventionally with 12 VDC or through PoE (compliant with the 802.802.3af standard).

The camera model described here is equipped with Smart Hybrid Light technology and has two types of illumination: IR and white light. How the illumination is used is decided by the user by selecting one of three modes: classic IR, white LED light and smart mode. The classic IR mode uses IR illumination in nighttime conditions or when the illumination level is too low. In white light mode, LED illumination is used instead of IR. In smart mode, the camera triggers the LED light when it detects a human or vehicle silhouette, providing a color image. Once the object leaves the detection zone, the camera switches back to IR mode. In addition to illuminating the scene to provide a color image, the LED light has the additional function of deterring an intruder.

The camera supports motion detection 2.0, which filters detected objects for human/vehicle silhouette. This improves the performance of the entire system and reduces the number of false alarms that reach the user. Once the filter is turned off, detection can continue as before, detecting all objects. With Motion Detection 2.0, recordings stored on an NVR supporting this technology can be quickly searched for a human or vehicle silhouette without having to review hours of footage.

Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems, such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems by offering viewing from IP cameras, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, handling of alarm events, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, recording to a HDD and many more.

A mobile application Hik-Connect is dedicated to operate Hikvision devices using cell phones with the operating system Android or iOS. It can be used to remotely view live video from DVR, NVR, network cameras, video intercoms using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks as well as to view recorded video. Video intercoms can be operated with the application which additionally allows for remote opening of electric doors, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the resident. The application supports connectivity via IP and the P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of a cloud-based service that allows access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.

The degree of protection (IK rating) against external mechanical impacts offered by electrical equipment housing is defined in the EN 62262 standard. The EN 62262:2003 standard also specifies the conditions of the testing procedure.

The camera has a mechanical strength rating of IK08.
