Compact IP Camera: Hikvision Hikvision DS-2CD2T45G0P-I (4 MP, 1.68mm, 0,028lx, IR up to 20m, WDR H.265, Fisheye)

The Hikvision DS-2CD2T45G0P-I compact IP camera from EasyIP 3.0 series is dedicated for use in monitoring systems based on IP DVRs. It is equipped with a 4 MP and 1/2.7" CMOS sensor and an IR illuminator based on EXIR technology with a range up to 20 m to ensure proper visibility in low-light conditions. It has a fixed 1.68 mm lens with a viewing angle of 180° (fisheye). Support for the legacy and latest H.265(+) compression methods allows for the archiving time of recordings to be extended while maintaining excellent image quality and backward compatibility. Additional functions to help improve image quality including: AGC, 3D-DNR, WDR (120 dB), BLC, HLC and built-in image analytic functions (VCA) make the camera suitable for use in even more advanced projects. The IP67 rated housing protects the inside electronic components from adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered conventionally with 12 VDC or through PoE (compliant with the 802.802.3at standard).

The above model belongs to the new EasyIP 3.0 series of cameras, offering very good image quality and low price. With the use of Dark Fighter (Ultra-low-light) technology, previously available in the design series, the camera provides better color reproduction and image quality in low-light conditions. Integrated VCA image analytics such as face detection, intrusion detection, line crossing detection, unattended baggage detection, object removal detection allow the camera to be used for advanced projects.

The camera is equipped with an IR illuminator made in Exir 2.0 technology, with high light efficiency. At a comparable current, the Exir 2.0 arrays are 30% more efficient than conventional IR diodes. The light stream generated has a shape matching the rectangular field of view of the camera. Ordinary diodes generate a circular light stream, where the center is strongly illuminated and the corners are underexposed. Exir 2.0 has a more uniform light pattern providing good illumination of the corners. Compared to the previous generation, Exir 2.0 has better heat dissipation and an increased lifetime of up to 20,000 hours.

Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.
