Signal HDC-270P camera is dedicated for professional IP CCTV systems. The compact camera has been equipped with high quality 4 MP (2560 x 1440 px) 1/3" CMOS sensor providing good video coverage even in low-light conditions. Along with IR illuminator with range up to 40 m, the camera can also operate in complete darkness. The built-in 2.8-12 mm varifocal lens has viewing angle within 90° - 26° range. The camera produces three independent video streams that can be encoded in several ways, H.265/H.264/MJPEG. The H.265 option minimizes consumption of the network band and memory resources. Access to the camera is possible via a web browser, free client software VMS Lite (PC) or FreeIP app (smartphones). The IP66-rated housing of the camera protects the electronics against adverse weather conditions, so that the camera can be installed outdoors. The camera can be powered conventionally with a 12 VDC source or with the use of PoE option (802.3af).
H.265 video compression
The camera can use H.265, H.264 and MJPEG compression methods. The H.265 coding allows for two times higher compression ratio than H.264 with preservation of the image quality. This further saves network and memory resources. The selected type of compression must be supported by the NVR.
Client software
VMS Lite is a client software developed for the control and operation of Signal IP cameras and NVRs. Along with the access to the cameras and recordings on the NVRs, the software enables the user to record the video streams from the cameras onto the HDD(s) of the client computer.

FreeIP application that can be downloaded for Android or iOS mobile devices allows for remote monitoring of the surveillance video captured by Signal IP cameras. Such a camera can be added with the use of its serial number, QR code, or IP address. After connecting via Wi-Fi, it can be found as a new device. The app can also make use of free cloud service, which enables access to the camera from any network without the need for forwarding ports.
FreeIP - free app for remote access to Signal devices via handhelds
Configuring network parameters
The configuration and operation control of the camera can be performed via Internet Explorer, Firefox (up to v.52) or the included free IPCSearch application. The app is used for searching Signal cameras in IP network, configuring network parameters, firmware updating, and changing parameters of the cameras and Signal NVRs.
