The camera belongs to the Pro series, a range of solutions designed for demanding surveillance installations. These devices stand out thanks to both their superior housing design and the availability of additional image-enhancing features such as WDR. The cameras perform well even in low light, have high sensitivity and a better, brighter lens.
HAC-HFW2501TU-Z-A-27135-S2 is a camera capable of recording images at a resolution of up to 5 megapixels. Despite its affordable price, the camera delivers excellent performance in both day (high quality, high resolution) and night (Starlight 0.001 lx) modes. The camera’s metal housing has an IP67 rating, ensuring protection against dust and rain. The built-in infrared illuminator with a range of up to 80 m and a smart IR function reduces image overexposure and ensures operation regardless of lighting conditions.
High-quality image encoding
The HD-CVI video transmission and encoding system allows high-definition video to be transmitted via coaxial cable or twisted-pair cable (when special video transformers are used). The transmitted image takes the form of an analogue signal, with a significantly wider transmission bandwidth than CVBS. The signal is not compressed, which makes the image more accurate and clearer during live viewing. Its advantages include the absence of delays and easier system configuration compared to IP cameras.
Starlight
The camera is equipped with a high-sensitivity sensor (0.005 lx), enabling it to produce a usable image even in low light conditions. Reduced noise results in better image quality, and compression is also more efficient. The image in daylight conditions features accurate colour reproduction, and the camera itself switches to night mode later than standard solutions.
Extended Dynamic Range (WDR) 120 dB

Correct operation of surveillance cameras in difficult lighting conditions is one of the top priorities of equipment manufacturers. The dynamic range of the sensor is a parameter which describes the ability of the camera to simultaneously register very bright and dark areas. Cameras with high dynamic range (WDR) perform better when observing frames with high lighting contrast. The image in most WDR-equipped cameras is created by exposing the sensor with different exposure settings (slow shutter for dark elements and fast shutter for bright elements). The resulting image is a combination of both frames and processing based on the algorithms set by the manufacturer.

Multi-system camera
The camera supports four analogue systems: HD-CVI, AHD, HD-TVI or CVBS. Thanks to its compatibility with commercially available systems, this is a versatile camera whose signal can be adapted to the requirements of the installation. A particularly important advantage is the ability to work with older-style recorders (in the CVBS system). Operating modes can be switched using switches available on an additional connector.
Multilingual OSD menu
Camera parameters are controlled via the recorder or the UTC PFM820 Q498200A controller. Data for the camera’s OSD is transmitted via a coaxial cable alongside the video signal. This solution allows the most important camera parameters to be changed, including remotely, in a convenient and efficient manner. The interface is available in Polish, English, French, German and Spanish, amongst other languages.
Smart IR
The infrared lighting has been designed to deliver maximum performance. The intensity of the emitted light is dynamically adjusted. The illumination is adapted to the distance from the observed object, ensuring that it remains clearly visible and is not overexposed when moving closer to the camera.
