Details

The Dahua IPC-HDW1639T-A-IL-0280B-S6-BLACK camera belongs to the Entry series, which comprises solutions designed for small-scale installations where only the basic camera functions are required. Despite its low price, the camera’s image offers good performance both in day mode (high quality, high resolution) and in night mode (sensitivity of 0.007 lx). A standout feature is the hybrid illuminator with intelligent switching, which combines an IR illuminator and white light.
Key features:
  • resolution: 6 MP – 3200 x 1800 at 20 fps
  • fixed focal length lens: 2.8 mm
  • hybrid illuminator with intelligent switching featuring 1 Multi-core Light LED
  • SMD+ (Smart Motion Detection+) intelligent motion detection
  • built-in microphone
  • image functions: D-WDR, 3D-DNR, BLC, HLC, corridor mode
  • sealed (IP67) housing
  • 12 V DC or PoE (802.3af) power supply
Key features:
Hybrid illuminator with intelligent switching

The camera has four scene lighting modes: infrared, white LED, smart mode and schedule. The default mode is smart mode, in which the camera uses an IR illuminator at night. If an object is detected in the monitored area, the scene is illuminated with white light, enabling a colour image and improving identification capabilities. Once the object leaves the detection zone, the camera automatically returns to IR mode.
The user has full control over the selection of the camera’s operating mode. The schedule option allows for individual planning of the operating times for the selected illuminator. The schedule can be customised on a weekly basis, allowing the camera’s operation to be precisely tailored to the user’s needs.

Intelligent motion detection SMD+ (Smart Motion Detection +)

Traditional motion detection worked based on changes in the intensity of light reaching a pixel (or larger groups of pixels) of the sensor. Any such change in light triggers detection, so the system catches the movement of objects that are not relevant to security. Such motion detection is sensitive to, for example, the movement of leaves in the wind, passing insects, birds, shadows or precipitation.
The new SMD motion detection system is able to analyse motion detection events for the detection of human or vehicle. This ensures that alarm notifications are filtered and unnecessary alarms are blocked. If you have a system with recording on a compatible NVR, the recordings can be filtered for human or vehicle detection.
H.265 compression (+)
Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

Privacy zones
Obscuring selected areas in the frame is an important element of surveillance systems. For this purpose, the privacy zones function has been introduced in the cameras. It allows certain parts of the camera field of view to be made invisible (masked). Examples of places that require this are: windows of buildings, toilets in school or prison bathrooms, etc. If these places were not masked, personnel with access to the monitoring equipment could violate the privacy of the monitored persons, thus breaking the applicable law.

iOS
DMSS is an application that enables the operation and management of Dahua products on Android and iOS mobile devices. It provides a wide range of surveillance and basic configuration options - live viewing (including multiple channels simultaneously), PTZ control, digital zoom, eavesdropping, playback of archive recordings and handling of alarm notifications. The app allows connectivity via IP addresses and via P2P cloud.
