The Dahua SD49425GB-HNR camera is part of the WizSense series, a range of solutions designed for smart surveillance systems. Devices in this series feature an AI electronics system responsible for live image analysis using deep learning algorithms. Thanks to this feature, the cameras can focus on the most important monitoring objective, namely the detection of people or vehicles. This improves the efficiency of the surveillance system, as unnecessary alarms are not sent to client applications or the monitoring centre.
The camera is equipped with a 2 Mpix image sensor, which guarantees high-quality images – both in daylight (wide dynamic range) and at night. Thanks to advanced image correction features such as 3D-DNR, WDR, BLC and HLC, the camera performs excellently in challenging operating conditions.
The device has an audio input for connecting an external microphone, and an audio output to which a speaker with a built-in amplifier can be connected. This solution enables two-way communication, monitoring of the target location and audio recording.
The robust, metal, heated housing, certified to IP66, ensures the camera can be used outdoors even at low temperatures (operating range: -30°C to 60°C). The option of powering the camera via the PoE+ standard (802.3at) significantly reduces installation time and costs.
PTZ mechanism
The 5.5–80 mm varifocal lens allows for terrain observation with 25x zoom and offers viewing angles of 54.4°–4.1°, enabling high-quality monitoring of vast and distant areas. The camera mechanism allows for a full 360° horizontal rotation at a speed of up to 40°/s. Vertical movement is possible within a range of -15° to 90° at a speed of up to 40°/s. The auto-flip function ensures that when the camera reaches its lowest point, it performs a rapid 180° horizontal rotation and continues its vertical movement. This enables continuous tracking of objects moving directly beneath the camera.
It is possible to define 300 presets, i.e. saved zoom levels and camera positions. This allows for precise adjustment of the camera view.

Key features:
Traditional motion detection worked by detecting changes in the intensity of light reaching a pixel (or larger groups of pixels) on the sensor. Any such change in light triggers detection, which is why the system picks up movement from objects that are irrelevant from a security perspective. Such motion detection is sensitive to, for example, leaves rustling in the wind, flying insects, birds, shadows or precipitation.

The new SMD motion detection system can analyse motion detection events to distinguish between people and vehicles. This ensures that alarm notifications are filtered and unnecessary alarms are blocked. If the system records to a compatible NVR, the recordings can be filtered to identify whether a person or a vehicle was detected.
Correct operation of surveillance cameras in difficult lighting conditions is one of the top priorities of equipment manufacturers. The dynamic range of the sensor is a parameter which describes the ability of the camera to simultaneously register very bright and dark areas. Cameras with high dynamic range (WDR) perform better when observing frames with high lighting contrast. The image in most WDR-equipped cameras is created by exposing the sensor with different exposure settings (slow shutter for dark elements and fast shutter for bright elements). The resulting image is a combination of both frames and processing based on the algorithms set by the manufacturer.

PoE (Power over Ethernet) is the name of the IEEE standard for powering network devices via twisted pair cable while transmitting data. It is possible to supply power to devices such as cameras, telephones, switches, access points, etc. The guaranteed transmission distance for power supply is 100 m. The two most popular standards are 802.03af, which guarantees a minimum power of 12.95 W for end devices, and 802.3at – power of 25.5 W.

PC client software - SmartPSS
SmartPSS (Smart Professional Surveillance System) is an easy-to-use, free software to operate and manage Dahua products on a computer running Windows and macOS operating systems. The software allows you to conveniently perform remote system configuration and then conduct live surveillance. Its intuitive and functional interface also allows you to view and download recordings, perform intelligent search, receive alarm events, two-way audio transmission, visualize the system on an e-map or record to a computer hard drive.
Client software for mobile devices – DMSS
DMSS is an application that enables the operation and management of Dahua products on Android and iOS mobile devices. It provides a wide range of surveillance and basic configuration options - live viewing (including multiple channels simultaneously), PTZ control, digital zoom, eavesdropping, playback of archive recordings and handling of alarm notifications. The app allows connectivity via IP addresses and via P2P cloud.
