Distinguishing features:
  • WDR - wide dynamic range (max 120 dB)
  • high effectve resolution (690 HTVL according to the Pixim scale)
  • DPS (Digital Pixel System) technology eliminates any overexposure in the image
  • 3DDNR noise reduction
  • OSD menu
The compact camera Sunell SN-BXC0586DCN(II) M11207 is equipped with Super Wide Dynamic Pixim Seawolf image sensor and mechanically switching IR filter (ICR). With the new Pixim sensor, this day/night camera is 10x more sensitive than the previous versions.
DPS technology sets the exposure for each pixel in the sensor individually
The DPS technology (Digital Pixel System) sets the exposure for each pixel in the sensor individually, depending on light intensity. So, each pixel is a kind of a separate A/C converter, which allows for well-balanced image, especially in the case of a high contrast and high light intensity.

When installing the camera it is very important to set its parameters in real conditions, in which the camera will work. It is essential for taking full advantage of all the advanced features provided by the new technology.
The camera can be used with AI lenses, DC or Video type. It is important to choose adequate lens for the high-class camera to get the optimal set. For this model we recommend to use quality glass lenses from Tokina or UltiEye. The lenses will guarantee best possible image quality.
Day/night cameras operating at night with IR illuminators require to employ adequate day/night-marked lenses (IR-corrected).
Similarly to other day/night cameras, when the light falls below a certain threshold, the camera continues operation in B/W mode, with increased sensitivity.
It is connected with automatic pulling out the IR cut filter (ICR), in order to use a suitable IR illuminator, e.g. from Redbeam series.

The camera uses OSD menu. Adjustment of all parameters of the camera image is performed by using buttons on the back panel. Due to multiple functions and settings, the very practical feature is setup memory, allowing to save several options, even before the final calibration at the camera site. The camera menu is quite extensive but user-friendly, with easy and intuitive navigation.
The OSD menu contains the following settings:
  • WDR
  • WB
  • exposure and image parameters
  • video parameters
  • AGC
  • BLC
  • Day/night function
  • 3D noise reduction
  • motion detection (4 zones with sensitivity adjustment)
  • privacy masks (12 zones)
  • camera name
  • return to default settings
8-pin I/O socket in the rear part of the camera is used to control some functions of the camera and to trigger external devices.
I/O socket pinout
Pinout description (wire colors of additional cable; H&L - logical levels of about 3 V and 0 V respectively):
  • Pins 1 (black), 2 (brown), 3 (orange): not used;
  • Pin 4 (blue): information on mode of work (H - color, L - B/W) - the levels can be used for control of an additional IR illuminator (the camera switches to B/W mode in low light);
  • Pin 5 (green): alarm output - motion detection (H - no motion, L - motion) - can cooperate with alarm input in a DVR or with an independent alarm system;
  • Pin 6 (yellow): ground;
  • Pin 7 (white): external control of mode of work (H - B/W, L - color) - possibility to adjust mode of work to specific requirements;
  • Pin 8 (red): 3.3 VDC output.
The cameras are indispensable in all places where there is a high probability of overexposure in the case of using popular cameras. Typical applications include night observation of roads and streets, poorly-lighted parking lots, main gateways. The implemented "Mirror" function (mirror image) is often used in such applications.
