OCTOPUS DQ is a compact digital PIR motion detector with quadruple pyroelectric sensor with 360° detection angle, designed for mounting on a ceiling. Thanks to features such as digital temperature compensation, elimination of electrical noise (IFT), automatic sensitivity control and Blue Wave technology, it can be used in commercial, residential or industrial buildings. The built-in parametric EOL resistors allow the installer to shorten the installation time.

Implemented technologies/functions
Blue Wave Technology enhances the detector’s immunity to infra-red noise in the environment. The key components of the technology include advance signal processing and 3D optics.
Digital temperature compensation - digitally adjusted sensitivity ensures proper detection of humans even when the ambient temperature is close to their body temperature.
Independent Floating Thresholds (IFT) - alarm thresholds always kept within appropriate limits, which ensures resistance to external electromagnetic interference.
Automatic sensitivity adjustment - the dual PIR sensor monitors the surrounding environment to adjust its sensitivity to changing levels in infra-red light and background temperature.
3D Optics – the new 3D optics system with 60 slots enables perfect focusing of the infra-red signal onto the pyro-electric sensor. It guarantees accurate coverage of the entire protected area including the approach zone (area under the detector).
EOL resistors - selectable alarm and tamper EOL resistors allow the installer to quickly select resistance values suitable for the control panel used.
