CD with software
CPD-501 is the newest recorder from CP Cam company. It has been prepared for users looking for stable and easy for operation DVR with network interface. This model is a slight simplified version of CPD-503.
The main features of CPD501 (and differences to CPD-503):
- 2 audio channels (CPD-503 has 4 audio channels)
- no support for remote control option
- device designed for one hard disc only
- the disk is mounted inside the cabinet (CPD-503 is equipped with drive bay)
- no cooperation with disc array
- no support for DVD recorder
- USB connector only at rear panel

It is of course triplex recorder - enabling playback without interruption of recording images from cameras. High recording speed up to 100 fps (CIF) allows to record smooth video from all four cameras.
The recorder has many useful functions like motion detection or recording according to a schedule. It is also equipped with DVR alarm connector, indicators etc.
Aside from recording 4 video channels there is possibility of recording 2 audio channels. Choice of listened sound - live or recorded - is made by keys on front panel. This model of DVR does not enable to transfer audio files onto a pen-drive.
The DVR can control high-speed rotary cameras. There has been employed Pelco D protocol. The control may be performed with the keypad or remotely - with client program. The pictures below show screenshots of images from such a camera controlled by CPD recorder.
Remote viewing of camera images can be performed by using any browser e.g. IE, or additional client software.
The device can utilize high-capacity discs - we recommend Seagate discs up to 320 GB (they are in our offer and have been tested for compatibility with all devices we sell).
There is possibility of backup into external USB memory - the manual lists the compatible devices.
The recorder has D/V connector - but not active in this model. When there is a need of connecting video monitor we advise to use external VGA/Video converter.
It is possible to choose language of the menu from among a number of languages, such as English, German, Polish, Spanish, and others.
DVR supports "watermark" facility - it makes possible to verify authenticity of recordings. Many other useful functions are described in the manual.
