Energetab held in Bielsko-Biala, Poland, is an international energy-industry trade show. This is one of the most important meetings of the leading representatives of the power industry and related sectors.

700 exhibitors presented their products there, not only from Poland, but also from 24 countries in Europe and Asia, and from the USA. The area of the fair covered over 35,000 m2 exhibition space, both in the multi-purpose hall as well as in tent pavilions and open areas where exhibitors had the opportunity to display large-size and heavy exhibits.
The interactive stand of DIPOL company was, as every year,
besieged by a crowd of visitors interested in many presented solutions.
An attractive object was also the DIPOL Singing Robot.
Many visitors took part in the competition in installing MASTER connectors.
After a brief instruction, everyone could try it on their own, using the prepared set.
A large group of visitors was interested in the second generation of Hikvision digital video intercoms.
Nearly all visitors wanted to see how the process of fusion splicing of optical fibers
had been simplified by using the Signal Fire AI-9 splicer.
At Energetab 2019, DIPOL presented a number of new products for a wide variety of customers. First of all, it were video surveillance systems implementing intelligent image analysis and an absolute novelty on the CCTV market: bispectral cameras, especially useful in power industry and many other professional applications.

A part of the offer was dedicated to the unique system integrating modern IP CCTV and SMATV solutions. Those interested in video intercom systems could check the possibilities of the latest Hikvision IP solutions in this field.

We also showed new solutions for fiber optic systems and for transmission of video and Ethernet signals via various media. They included the latest models of Signal Fire fusion splicers and optical HDMI cables capable of connecting devices over distances up to 70 meters without any additional equipment.
A special feature of our stand was the fact that almost all solutions were presented in an interactive way – visitors had the opportunity to see, touch and become familiar with the principles of operation and functions of all the devices.
At the fair, the following topics were especially interesting to many visitors:
Bispektral cameras
combining monitoring in optical and thermal bands
Hikvision bispectral cameras combine advantages of traditional video monitoring and thermal imaging. The functions are preformed by two image sensors, one of them (visible light) is CMOS with image resolution of 1920 x 1080 px, the second detects far-infrared radiation with resolution of 160 x 120 px. The cameras can combine the both images into one with good quality and a wealth of information. VCA image analytics based on the built-in GPU graphics processor and a deep learning algorithm essentially reduce the number of false alarms. Temperature measurements and fire detection functions allow for using the cameras in advanced multi-factor protection systems.
The camera has been designed to achieve the best quality image at a moderate price. A small thermal imaging sensor is supported by a higher resolution traditional image sensor. It allows for a significant reduction in the price of the camera compared to typical thermal imaging cameras while providing good quality image.
Some applications of thermal imaging cameras:
  • intrusion detection even in bad weather conditions (rain, snow, fog, dust),
  • inspection of electric lines/cables, transformer and switching stations (detection of improper contacts, overloaded fuses, cables and transmission lines, overheated transformers),
  • tank level monitoring - the temperature distribution shown on the image from a thermal camera can be used to estimate the fill level of closed containers,
  • machinery - detection of overloaded elements, bad cooling, increased friction; diagnostics of engines, bearings, gears, belts, shafts, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, blowers etc.,
  • perimeter control with the VCA,
  • support for traditional video surveillance systems,
  • landfills,
  • border crossings,
  • prisons,
  • factories,
  • fire detection,
  • warehouses, stores, etc.

Intelligent image analysis in video surveillance systems
Selected models of Hikvision cameras and NVRs have a function called AcuSense. After turning it on, the image is additionally analyzed for detecting the silhouette of a person or a vehicle. An alarm is sent to the operator only when the searched object is detected. High interpretation accuracy of around 90% is achieved through the implementation of modern deep learning algorithms.
Capabilities of AcuSense technology:
  • detection of intrusion of a person or vehicle,
  • filtering out even 90% of events that would trigger false alarms caused e.g. by the movement of trees in the wind, animals, rainfall,
  • save pictures of detected objects that are stored for efficient search,
  • lowering the workload of the operator(s) and costs of sending intervention groups.
Classification by person or vehicle is possible for VCA events such as: intrusion detection, line crossing, entry and exit from the area. Alarm filtering by IP cameras that support this function will also work when connected to regular NVR channels. A quick search of objects, however, requires an NVR that supports AcuSense (but they do not occupy dedicated channels). HD-TVI or IP cameras that do not support AcuSense must be connected to the those dedicated channels of the DVR or NVR, respectively.
The DeepinView and DeepinMind algorithms currently provide the highest level of image analysis based on deep learning algorithms. They are modeled on the structure and operation of the human brain. Like in the brain, the process of learning builds connections between artificial neurons (programs) and creates a multi-layered artificial neural network. The algorithms independently analyze model photos and recordings, searching for common features and create appropriate connections. The so-called layers are responsible for detecting specific features. The more layers the algorithms have, the more accurate the analysis.
Among the available video analytics features, the most important functions are face detection and recognition, number plate identification (ANPR), people counting, line crossing, intrusion detection, detection of entry and exit to/from a zone (perimeter protection based on detection and classification of targets), people counting, man fall detection, scuffle detection, fire detection etc.

Hikvsion 2nd generation of IP Video Door Phone system
Second-generation Hikvision IP video intercom systems are characterized by aesthetic design and high functionality. The door station has a modular structure, which means that its elements can be selected depending on the installation requirements.
  • possibility of powering individual components of the system via PoE - thanks to this, the implementation of power supply in the installation is as simplified as possible and does not require the use of dedicated power supplies,
  • system components can be powered via PoE and transfer supply voltage to other devices,
  • modularity - the user decides about final construction and functionality of individual door stations. This allows to perfectly match the functionality to the requirements and reduce installation costs,
  • wide range of elements / modules.
Scheme of the Hikvision IP Video Door Phone system
The configuration of the IP video door system can be performed with the use of the iVMS 4200 client software which enables users of HIKVISION devices to manage them in IP networks. The software allows for configuration and management of NVRs/DVRs, IP and analog cameras (in hybrid systems), access control systems. The user can create a hybrid system that will integrate all devices and become a real monitoring center. In the case of operating video intercom systems, it is possible to open doors remotely, record the video from the camera, take snapshots, make voice calls to the subscriber monitor(s). The application can also send text notifications with snapshots to the subscriber(s). Any information can be transferred easily and quickly, for example the user of the door station can directly call the monitoring center (iVMS-4200) and establish connection with the security staff.
HDMI optical tranmission - optical HDMI cables
Dipol company has in its offer a wide range of HDMI converters enabling the transmission of this signal via a twisted pair, optical fiber, coaxial cable or cabling AC 230 V cabling. Fiber optic cables are new in the field of HDMI signal transmission. Their advantage is the ability to transmit over long distances (currently up to 70 m) without the need for any active devices. Offered cables are characterized by high quality and long durability.
At the stand, we will present in action the H3613 set injecting HDMI and USB signals into IP network. The IP signal coming from the transmitter of the H3613 kit may be applied to an Ethernet switch to split it among multiple receivers. USB ports in the units also allow for remote control of the source of the signal, e.g. a DVR/NVR, by using a mouse, keyboard etc.
IP -> DVB-T transmodulator MI520P Terra
Transmodulation of RTSP stream from IP cameras to DVB-T signal
Simple way to provide IP cameras streams to multi-family building residents
IP cameras do not generate video signals but data streams. The information cannot be distributed to televisions with the use of typical modulation methods employed in the case of analog cameras. The injection of the video information from IP CCTV cameras into an RF distribution network (a private or shared antenna system, CATV network etc.) requires application of intermediate devices. So far, the most popular solution has been the use of digital HDMI - DVB-T modulators (capable of transmission up to Full HD 1080p / 60 Hz). The HDMI signal carrying the video information from one or a number of IP cameras is available on the monitor output of the IP NVR in the IP CCTV system. In the case of one HDMI signal, it is sufficient to use a single channel HDMI to DVB-T modulator, otherwise one will need a multi-channel HDMI to DVB-T modulator (max. 4 channels). However, when the investor wants to have separate images from the cameras, the number of the channels is limited by the number of independent HDMI outputs in the NVR(s). And what about the situation when the number of the IP cameras that should independently provide the video and sound information is much higher, e.g. 12?
At Energetab 2019, we will present Terra MI520P R81609 IP to DVB-T transmodulator. The MI520P R81609 transmodulator converts IP stream provided in the UDP/RTP protocol (unicast/multicast, SPTS and MPTS), and RTSP/ONVIF streaming from IP cameras, to a DVB format (DVB-T COFDM/DVB-C/J.83B/ISDB-T). The device receives IP stream with bit rate up to 80 Mbps and converts it to two configurable DVB-T COFDM, DVB-C/J.83B/ISDB-T multiplexes, with a maximum bit rate depending on the selected standard. The output RF signals e.g. in DVB-T COFDM standard is provided to televisions connected to the antenna system. The RF distribution network usually employs splitters and taps.
