Integrated solutions for multi-dwelling units
From the opening to closing, the DIPOL's stand was crowded with visitors
DIPOL presented a comprehensive range of equipment and cables for multifamily buildings. Visitors to our stand had the opportunity to discuss with our experts on the following topics:
- structured cabling
- designing and implementation of multiswitch systems
- designing and implementation of fiber-optic networks
- training courses for designers and installers organized by our company
We focused on the newest trends in the industry.

SatNet 3.0 allows users to design SMATV systems in a graphical form, determine signal levels in all outlets and verify if they are compliant with standards, and decide whether to use equalization function of the amplifiers. This allows the designer/installer sitting in front of the monitor to predict what devices will be needed to distribute signals and what parameter settings such as gain or cable attenuation compensation will be required. The settings are in 99% compliant with actual implementations.
The RACK cabinet equipped with a wide range of accessories was a point of interest for many professionals
Consultations were conducted individually and in groups.
There were presented some practical solutions.
The DIPOL Robot made a great impression on the visitors. They took many souvenir pictures.
DIPOL, taking active part in the training cycle accompanying the Fair,
conducted a training lecture on the subject of:
Modern cabling in multifamily buildings
and new technologies providing access to the Internet, SAT TV & DVB-T broadcasts and CCTV video
The lecture was attended by more than hundred designers, installers, investors.

DIPOL has been for over 23 years a recognized supplier of telecommunication and antenna equipment for installations in buildings. At the fair, we will show the latest solutions in this field.
- A complete range of cables, equipment, and accessories for fiber optic systems
Our offer includes fiber optic cables, devices, and accessories needed for installing complete systems in all kinds of buildings. Easy access cable is specially designed for this purpose. It consists of multiple fibers (e.g. 12, 24, 36 or 48) with 0.9 mm tight buffer coatings, located in LSZH tube. The fibers can be branched directly to individual subscribers without the need for splicing within the riser of the building. They are easily extracted from breaking windows in the gel-free tube. It is possible thanks to the special design of the tube and fibers, with the use of dedicated tools and accessories. Thanks to a special construction of the tube and dedicated stripping tool, it is impossible to break any of the fibers when cutting out windows for drop fibers. The possibility of deeper cutting is eliminated by aramid rods, so the fibers are fully secure.

- Equipment for reception of terrestrial and satellite TV broadcasts, including SMATV systems based on TERRA platform supported by SatNet 3.0 software for designing the systems
Shared antenna systems (usually called SMATV systems - Satellite Master Antenna TV) are typically mounted in apartment buildings (condominiums), usually managed by housing cooperatives or property management companies. In each case the owner or manager of the facility should ensure trouble-free operation of the antenna system providing access to terrestrial (DVB-T, FM/DAB) and satellite (DVB-S/S2) broadcasts. TERRA provides the most professional solutions for SMATV systems based on multiswitch concept. All TERRA devices carry a four-year manufacturer warranty and the systems designed with the use of SatNet software ensure many years of trouble-free use.
Terra platform encompasses:
- highest quality equipment with excellent technical parameters, covered by a 4-year manufacturer's warranty
- complete range of devices: line amplifiers, TV and FM amplifiers, multiswitches, passive components
- free SatNet software for designing even most complex systems
- database of CAD files for designers, additionally supporting the design process and the creation of construction documents

- Fiber-optic SMATV systems
Optical RF signal transmission allows for long-range distribution of digital terrestrial and satellite television, DAB radio, security video etc. Fiber-optic SMATV systems provide much more flexibility compared to those based only on coaxial cable. In addition to the greater freedom in implementing long transmission lines, the installation of the systems is also easier thanks to replacing multiple coaxial cables by a single fiber-optic cable. It means that the deployments of the shared antenna systems are easier for implementation, especially in existing buildings equipped with narrow shafts or even without such conduits.
The FibSZ-ODU32 converter/optical transmitter combines signals from the FibSZ-LNBF downconverter (SAT Input) and terrestrial antennas (DVB-T/DAB/FM Input). Both the FibSZ-LNBF and FibSZ-ODU32 are the main parts of the A9880 SAT-IF & DVB-T optical kit. The combined signal is converted into optical form and available at two FC/PC optical outputs (at the level of 3.5 dBm). The passive distribution network consists of two optical splitters, Opto-Spt2 BOX A98892 and Opto-Spt3 BOX A98893, distributing the optical signals via single-mode fibers to nodes located in 5 multi-family apartment buildings. The nodes in the buildings are FibSZ-QUATRO receivers/converters A9882 which replicate the satellite IF, DVB-T and FM/DAB signals coming in optical form via the PON. They have 5 outputs allocating the output RF signals as four SAT-IF polarization/band combinations (VL-HL-VH-HH) and terrestrial DVB-T + DAB + FM signals. The signals are then distributed by multiswitches deployed in the buildings. Each building installation consists of SS-510 R70516 SAT/TV tap used for sub-network partition and two MSV-532 R70732 multiswitches providing signals to 64 Signal R694100 outlets (so the total number of outlets in the SMATV system is 320).
- DVB-T modulators
Conversion of baseband audio-video (A/V) signals into radio frequency (RF) channel is called modulation. This process allows for distribution of the signals coming from all kinds of sources, such as computers, DVD players, security cameras etc. through antenna systems. The device used for this purpose (modulator) is equipped with one pair or a set of A/V inputs (SCART, RCA, HDMI) and RF output. The output signal injected into the antenna system is available in the distribution network as additional TV channel (or multiplex - in the case of DVB-T modulator and two or more A/V signals) that can be received by any suitable television connected to the RF network.
The use of RF modulators does not always mean integration with antenna systems. In some situations the distribution of audio-video signal(s) via coaxial cables (after conversion to RF signal) is much simpler and cheaper than other solutions, especially when the signal has to reach multiple receivers. The examples are electronics stores where HDMI -> DVB-T modulators used to distribute HD content to dozens of TV sets make the perfect alternative to HDMI splitters and dozens of HDMI cables.
Signal-350 R86350 has been equipped with USB port allowing for recording the source material in .ts format and playing back the same or other material prepared in .ts format. The manufacturer provides the suitable software for converting various content such as pictures, music, videos etc. into .ts files. It means that the device can work independently, generating the output DVB-T signal based on the .ts files played back from a USB drive.
- 19" SIGNAL RACK cabinets
The elegant and functional RACK cabinets are designed for mounting devices having housings compatible with 19" rack standard (482.6 mm). The height of the devices and auxiliary equipment is standardized as the multiplies of one rack unit ("U" = 1.75" = 44.45 mm). The capacity of a RACK cabinet is determined by its height also given in "U" units. Another important parameter of a RACK cabinet is its depth (external dimension), given in millimeters, e.g. 450 mm, 600 mm, 800 mm. This parameter is especially important for larger devices, such as computers, DVRs. It is important to know the depth of the devices and the necessary space for cabling, in order to choose a suitable cabinet.
RACK cabinets are ideal for installing headends, switches, computers, optical devices. They can also house devices that are not in standard 19" rack housings, for example multiswitches, RF amplifiers, modulators, DVRs, servers.
We offer the following equipment for 19" RACK system:
