A set of channel amplifiers combined with multiswitch system based on bus topology is the most modern and flexible solution for distributing high-quality television signals. Terrestrial signals (DVB-T & analog), amplified by channel amplifiers, are combined with satellite signals and distributed via the multiswitch system. A multiswitch system with bus architecture has the main path from which the signals are provided to individual multiswitches through taps. This arrangement reduces the risk of a cascading failure of the system. Large multiswitch systems with bus architecture can distribute signals to over 1000 outlets, and most importantly, at any time they may be easily upgraded, e.g. in order to connect twin-tuner PVR receivers.

With the small size and weight of optical fibers, the installation can be faster and easier than in the case of coaxial cables. Fiber optics is really an ideal transmission medium.

There is no competitive solution to rack system in terms of installation ease, cooling, security and easy access to the installed equipment.
