DS-2CD1383G2-LIUF/SL is an IP dome camera with a hybrid illuminator from Hikvision, part of the EasyIP Lite series. The cameras in this series have the basic, most commonly used functions, so they are ideal for most systems where stable and trouble-free operation is required. Motion detection 2.0 function eliminates false alarms by filtering out human/vehicle type objects. The camera has a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor with a resolution of 8 MP and a hybrid illuminator with a range of up to 30 m, ensuring proper visibility in the absence of light. Thanks to the IR and LED illuminator in a single housing, it is possible to select one of three low-light modes: IR, white light LED or smart mode. The 2.8 mm fixed focal length lens allows for 113° observation. Built-in speaker and microphone allow for audio recording, audio alerts and audio communication. Support for the legacy and latest H.265(+) compression methods allows for the archiving time of recordings to be extended while maintaining excellent image quality and backward compatibility. The IP67 rated housing protects the inside electronic components from adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered conventionally with 12 VDC or via PoE (compliance with 802.3af).

The camera model described here is equipped with Smart Hybrid Light technology and has two types of illumination: IR and white light. How the illumination is used is decided by the user by selecting one of three modes: classic IR, white LED light and smart mode. In the classical IR mode, IR illumination is used in nighttime conditions or when the illumination level is too low. In white light mode, LED illumination is used instead of IR. In the smart mode, the camera triggers the LED light when it detects a human or vehicle silhouette, providing a color image. Once the object leaves the detection zone, the camera switches back to IR mode. In addition to illuminating the scene to provide a color image, the LED light has the additional function of deterring an intruder.

The camera supports motion detection 2.0, which filters detected objects for human/vehicle silhouette. This improves the performance of the entire system and reduces the number of false alarms that reach the user. Once the filter is turned off, detection can continue as before, detecting all objects. With Motion Detection 2.0, recordings stored on an NVR supporting this technology can be quickly searched for a human or vehicle silhouette without having to review hours of footage.

Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. This allows you to use hard drives with half the capacity or store recordings for twice as long. Its improved version H.265 + has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems. It offers IP camera viewing, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, alarm event handling, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, hard disk recording and much more.

Hikvision devices can be operated via mobile phones with Android or iOS using the dedicated Hik-Connect mobile application. It can be used to remotely view live video from DVR, NVR, IP cameras, door entry systems using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks and also to view recorded videos. Operating video intercoms with the application provides also remote opening of the electric strike, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the subscriber. The application allows connectivity via IP addresses and via P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of the cloud service that provides access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.
