IPTV DVB-S2X/S2/S- IP sdi416 streamer is a device that allows distribution and management of satellite TV content via Ethernet (LAN) based on twisted-pair cable. One panel enables conversion of signals from 16 satellite transponders (unencrypted channels) to 2 IP streams allowing distribution of up to 200 TV channels with a total effective bandwidth of 1.2 Gbps (600 Mbps for each of the two ports). The available output IP stream is fed into the LAN and delivered to end receivers – usually using switches. The multicast technology used in this type of system allows significant savings in network resources
Furthermore, the sdi416 R81590 module allows streaming of source material in MPEG-2 TS (Transport Stream) format located on an external USB storage device.

Thanks to television distribution technology based on IP, the cabling in a building can be limited only to one (data + IPTV) or two (separate for data and for IPTV) UTP/FTP cable(s). In addition to low cost of such cabling, the users get access to additional interactive features, and the programming can be adapted to their specific requirements.
One of the main advantages of the Terra IPTV solution is no need for any middleware software between the headend and the receivers. As a result, the system is much cheaper (no software license fees) than other solutions and very simple in both configuration and operation. A unique feature of the system is the fact that the terminal units - R81612 IPTV receivers - do not require any configuration, which can be of great importance in the case of larger networks. They automatically detect any changes in the local network or the programming.
A great advantage of the presented solution is the ability to integrate the IPTV streamer with other components, in particular multiswitches dSCR/Unicable e.g. model SRM-522 R80522, which allows independent distribution of DVB-S2X/S2/S signals using a single cable and independent selection of satellite channels from the entire band.
Note! For proper operation of a TV system based on IP streaming, it is necessary to use Ethernet managed switches with IGMP snooping v2 function, which allows control of multicast packet transmission.
The sdi416 R81590 streamer is equipped with 1 RF input for receiving FTA uncoded programs in the DVB-S2X/S2/S standard. With the dSCR (Unicable II) technology, 1 coaxial cable can be fed to the sdi416 module from the SCR/Unicable SRM-522 R80522 series multiswitch and receive 16 satellite transponders from any polarization/band pair.
The "Transport streams" window is used to individually configure the output streams after scanning the input stream first. Up to 512 TV/radio programs with individual multicast addresses, 16 MPTS streams.
Example of mounting TERRA headend to CD001 housing with DIN rail BD001 R90001. Additionally, there are the SRM-522 R80522 multiswitch and an Ethernet switch mounted on the ID001 R90003 mounting plate. The whole system has the FD001 R90002 ventilation unit with thermostat added.
