The AC15UV B2512 amplifier is used to strengthen terrestrial TV signals in VHF and UHF bands (170...694 MHz). It can be screwed on directly on the F socket of an antenna (both this and output connection should be protected against harsh weather conditions, using e.g. the E9751 self-amalgamating tape). The circuitry of the amplifier is enclosed in a metal housing providing immunity to electromagnetic interference and atmospheric conditions.
The amplifier is to be powered from a 5 VDC power source (usually directly from the antenna input of a DVB-T television or STB).
Distinguishing features:
- Direct power supply from the antenna input of a DVB-T receiver (5 VDC - the power option is available in majority of DVB-T STBs and televisions with built-in DVB-T tuners)
- Small metal casing with the possibility of direct connection (F plug) to the F-female (socket) of an antenna (and with F-female output)
- The 10 mm external diameter is similar to that of a coaxial cable
- Operating frequency range is limited to VHF and UHF bands, which strongly reduces out-of-band interference such as CB radio and GSM, LTE signals
