Part no. 2 of the M77950 DVD/CD drive assembly kit
Without additional equipment the DVRs enable the user to mount up to eight 3.5" HDDs. They are screwed to two metal sections, four to the upper one and four to the lower one.
The user can optionally mount a DVD/CD writer. Due to larger dimensions of the writer in comparison with HDD, only four HDDs can be then used.
The method of mounting:
- Disassemble the original two metal sections (upper and lower) used for assembling HDDs. The lower section becomes a spare part and is not used with DVD/CD writer.
- Disassemble the hole plug that masks the gap in the DVR's front panel.
- Assemble additional element (part no. 1) for mounting HDDs (with 2 screws from the bottom and one screw from the side of the DVR - see the picture below).

- Assemble DVD/CD writer to the part no. 2 (see below).

- Assemble the part no. 2 (with the writer) to the upper metal section (with 4 screws).
It is important to join the lower bracket (part no. 1) and the upper metal section with the fastener improving stability of the construction (in the middle).

HDDs should be mounted according to the description given in the user manual.
