Extra Free is a wireless (radio) system for control of electrical appliances at homes, offices, businesses. The system consists of a large group of cooperating devices operating in 868 MHz band.
The manufacturer of Exta Free system components is Zamel company, which started production in the field of building automation already in 2006. In 2010, the company introduced the Exta Free system that got the Grand Prize of the IX International Trade Fair ELEKTROTECHNIKA 2011 and since then has been continually gaining recognition among customers.
The control unit enables users to control the lighting, heating, air conditioning, window blinds and other devices in the home, apartment or workplace not only by radio transmitters, but also from smartphones and tablets. Compared with other solutions, Exta Free systems can be fast and easily installed, are cheap and can be freely extended with new items. The management and operation of the systems is very intuitive.
The idea of EXTA FREE intelligent wireless control systems is to provide the users with maximum comfort in their homes and businesses. This innovative technology is available for every budget and offers new dimension in the field of security and ease of life, all thanks to the knowledge and experience of the designers fascinated by the concept of intelligent buildings.
System components
  • Control unit
      The EFC-02 Mini Controller after connection with a Wi-Fi router allows for control of all EXTA FREE receivers/actuators via mobile devices. Apart from the function of "virtual transmitters", the EFC-02 unit can execute routines called "scenes", time functions, and has the possibility to monitor states of the deployed sensors. The wireless communication with the system is carried out at frequency of 868.32 MHz. The configuration and control of the system is performed via free application installed and run on a mobile device.

      EXTA FREE wireless remote controls: 2-channel P-257/2 F5112 , 4-channel P-257/4 F5114 and 8-channel P-256/8 F5118 are universal transmitters that control various functions of other EXTA FREE system components (receivers): switching on / switching off light or heating, dimming / lighting up light, lowering / raising up roller blinds, gateways etc, time functions. The remote controls are equipped with comfortable keys, operation indicators, and practical rings ( F5112, F5114 - they can be kept e.g. with keys) or magnetic holder ( F5118 ).

      The RNL-01 unit is used to control receivers/actuators of Exta Free system by a foot switch. The transmitter can be placed on a floor or other flat surface to control lighting, heating, air conditioning system etc.

    • IR and RS485 translators
      The RTI-01 IR to RF converter connected directly to 230 VAC power outlet is used to control wireless EXTA FREE devices by any IR remote control. After programming procedure, the device changes the signals from the IR remote to 868 MHz radio signals that can control any EXTA FREE receivers/actuators. The RXM-01 RS485 to RF converter/transmitter is used to control receivers/actuators of wireless EXTA FREE system via RS-485 interface. The converter is usually installed in building distribution boards on the TH-35 rail.

  • Receivers/relays
    Exta Free receivers/relays are designed for placing in junction boxes or directly in housings of lamps or other electrical equipment. The ROP-01 F5211 and ROP-02 F5212 Exta Free system components can work in 5 different modes (ON, OFF, monostable, bistable or time switch), while the RDP-01 F5301 component is a radio dimmer, cooperating with traditional light bulbs and compact halogen lamps powered by electronic or toroidal power supply transformers.

The RWG-01 remotely controlled power outlet can switch on/off power for any electrical appliances with 230 VAC rated voltage and power consumption below 4000 VA. The outlet can be wirelessly controlled by any remotes from the EXTA FREE system. There is no need for an installation - the RWG-01 is plugged in directly into a normal AC power outlet, in series with the appliance.
