Digifort software developed for managing and integrating IP cameras, as well as for recording the video data, is offered in four versions: Explorer, Standard, Professional, Enterprise. They differ in the maximum number of cameras and the set of available functions. Each version can be expanded by buying additional licenses. The differences between the versions are tabulated in the following sections:

Number of simultaneous cameras. Digifort software has 4 versions with different limits on the number of cameras which can be simultaneously shown on the screen. The Explorer version can simultaneously display up to 16 cameras, Standard version up to 32, Professional version up to 64. The Enterprise version does not limit the maximum number of simultaneously displayed cameras.
Camera shortcuts Camera shortcuts are very useful tools for large systems. The administrator can assign each camera a shortcut name. After pressing F2 key and entering suitable shortcut name for the camera, the operator (monitoring client) will get the image from the camera in full-screen format.
Multiple camera layouts. Digifort offers various predefined arrangements of camera images and allows to create new ones. The position of each camera can be adjusted for better visualization. Each layout can be saved and restored.
Automatic image resizing. Digifort Surveillance Client has the possibility of automatic image resizing. With this option, the layout and size of the images from cameras will be automatically adjusted when adding another camera.
Multi-Monitor option. Digifort Surveillance Client offers the possibility of using several monitors connected to the same computer and interacting with the system. Each monitor can work in an independent way, for example one monitor can display image from a single camera, another - split screen with multiple images.
Multi-server monitoring on one screen. Digifort software is based on client/server architecture. This architecture allows to use more than one server for recording the video streams from cameras. The software enables the operator to monitor all the servers simultaneously.
Image control and processing. Higher versions of Digifort offer advanced video control and processing functions. Image filters and effects allow to modify, for example, light intensity and image contrast and apply transformations such as Flip, Flop, Gray Scale, etc. These functions affect only the displayed images, as the video streams from the cameras are recorded in their original form.
Image relay. The monitoring client connects directly to the recording server in search of images. This feature is very useful when a camera is monitored by a number of users at the same time, which generates high traffic that could be beyond camera capabilities. Using this feature, the server assumes the role of the camera and is able to respond to all requests easily. As a result, the maximum number of frames per second that can be shown is the same as that of the recorded image.
Live motion detection. The video surveillance client enables the operator to use automatic motion detection. The moving areas of the image will be displayed in a predefined color (e.g. in green - see the picture below).
Live digital zoom The video surveillance client enables the operator to use digital zoom, in addition to the zoom of PTZ cameras. This function can be applied to any image, both from a fixed or a PTZ camera. An example of digital zoom is shown below:
Use of shortcuts. Shortcut names of cameras enable the operator of the monitoring client to access a desired camera by pressing F2 key and entering the camera's shortcut. The image from the camera will be displayed in full-screen mode.
Screenshots. This tool enables the operator to take snapshot of the selected camera and save it, send via e-mail etc.
Screen styles. The Professional and Enterprise versions allow to use different screen styles. For each screen style, an unlimited number of views can be created, e.g. after selecting screen style for four cameras, only the views for four cameras will be listed in the view selection.
Programmable screen styles. Professional and Enterprise versions allow for the creation of new types of screen styles, aimed at customization of the system according to the user needs.
Image sequencing. It permits the creation of sequences of cameras and views that will be displayed alternately on the screen for periods specified by the user.
Bilinear resizing. When a camera image is resized to a larger than natural size, some distortions can occur. With this feature enabled, the image will undergo bilinear filtering to minimize distortions and keeping the image quality as close as possible to the original image.
Emergency/local recording on client computer. Digifort makes it possible for the operators to carry out recording on their computers - each camera of the monitoring client has a recording button. By clicking this button, the image will also be recorded on the computer of the operator, in addition to the normal recording in the server. To access this feature, it is necessary to enable the recording controls in the Surveillance Client configurations and configure a directory for recordings in the local computer.
Media profile changing. A media profile consists of a set or individual parameters of each camera such as image resolution, frame speed, image quality. This feature allows the operator to change the current camera media profile to another one with different media configurations.
PTZ priority. It allows to define for the user the level of access rights to control a PTZ camera.
Performing PTZ control, the user with the highest priority "locks" the camera for exclusive use.
