Handheld Thermographic Camera: Hikvision DS-2TP31B-3AUF, for temperature measurements



The camera is a part of project-based approach of Hikvision.It means that the wholesale price of the camera depends on the characteristics of the proposed project and is subject to negotiation.
The DS-2TP31B-3AUF is a handheld thermographic camera designed for temperature measurement in real time with high accuracy of /- 0.5°C in temperature range 30°C to 45°C. Thanks to high measuring efficiency and speed (ca. 1 s), this type of solution is ideally suited to facilities where the temperature of a large number of people has to be measured in a short time (initial screening). Temperature is read from the built-in LCD display. After exceeding it, the screenshot can be saved on the microSD card. The camera has a thermal imaging sensor with a resolution of 160 x 120 px LCD display with a resolution of 320 240 px. There are 4 color palettes available to match the color scheme to the user's preferences. The camera is powered by a 3.7 VDC, 0.4 A Li-ion battery.

Applications and installation
Thermal imaging cameras with temperature measurement function can be used wherever a fast measurement of a large number of people is required in a short time such as: office buildings, factories, railway stations and airports as well as other public places. It is recommended to take the measurements indoors, in windless conditions away from the door (without the influence of weather conditions).
Principle of operation and advantages of thermal imaging
A thermal imaging camera is a perfect complement to visual monitoring in the reflected visible light and near-infrared radiation. Analog or IP cameras used in video monitoring enable correct identification and recognition of people during the day and at night with the use of infrared illuminators. A thermal imaging camera does not need any lighting for proper operation. Its operating principle is completely different than in the case of traditional cameras. Any body with a temperature above absolute zero (0 K = -273.15°C) emits infrared radiation. Due to the existing relationship between the temperature and radiation intensity, a thermal imaging camera, receiving the far-infrared radiation, calculates temperature values based on the wavelengths of the radiation. So, a thermal imaging camera can show the temperature distribution on the surface of the examined body and measure the temperature values.
