The camera belongs to the Starlight series, i.e. cameras with high sensitivity and optimized for work with infrared illuminators. Its construction is based on the Sony Starvis IMX 307 image sensor, which is the second generation of BSI (backside illumination) sensors. Their most important advantage is a significant improvement in sensitivity, which has become possible due to reversing the silicon wafer with the photosensitive elements and electronic circuitry. The light falling on the BSI matrix is not blocked by the circuitry, but reaches almost directly the photosensitive layer.
The new generation of BSI image sensors, Sarvis, has been equipped with an additional layer of microlenses placed on the Bayer filter, which is responsible for minimizing the adverse phenomena that may occur after the silicon wafer inversion. Thanks to them, the colors come out properly mapped, and the video signal has parameters much higher than those generated by traditional FSI image sensors (high SNR, low dark current). Cameras with such sensors are ideal for modern video monitoring systems.
High-quality video encoding
High Definition Transport Video Interface (HD-TVI) is a new technology that allows users to send uncompressed, high-resolution video over coaxial or twisted-pair cables (using dedicated baluns). The transmitted video signal is in analog form, with bandwidth much greater than in the case of CVBS (SD). As the signal is not compressed, the picture is more natural during live viewing. There is no delay and the configuration of such a system is easier compared to IP CCTV solutions.
Setup via DVR
The camera provides the ability to control its OSD menu using the video signal cable. The control is possible via a compatible DVR, after selecting PTZ control in its menu and switching on the menu of the camera, with access to all configuration options.
Mechanical IR-cut filter ensures perfect color rendition in daylight and full sensitivity with IR lighting.
