TERRA MHD-1011 R86101 is a multifunctional device that encodes input HDMI signal up to Full HD (1920x1080-30p) and modulates it to RF signal in accordance with DVB-T standard (COFDM).
The device has HDMI input and USB port (for software updating).
The device is a single-channel modulator, which means that the output DVB-T multiplex contains one channel modulated by the source signal. Wide configuration options allow for combining the output DVB-T multiplex with existing DVB-T broadcasts distributed in the system, in a manner chosen by the administrator or investor.
When the user needs to distribute more channels from different signal sources, we recommend to employ two-channel model WS-7992 R86702 or 4-channel model WS-7990 R86704.
RF modulators are not used only in antenna systems (MATV/SMATV). Sometimes, the distribution of signal A/V signals via coaxial cable (after conversion to RF signal) is much simpler and less expensive than other solutions - especially in situations where the signal has to reach multiple points (receivers). An example is an electronics store, where an HDMI -> DVB-T modulator eliminates the problems with splitters and tens of HDMI cables that could be used for the distribution of the demonstration content to tens of televisions.
The source signal may come from a media player, DVR, Blu-ray, PC, STB decoder etc. So, the modulator can distribute highest quality content in DVB-T standard, via cable television installations (shared/MATV antenna systems), including professional applications in industrial/campus/hospital/commercial TV and CCTV systems. The maximum output bit rate is determined by DVB-T standard (31.68 Mbps, with a maximum bit rate of the video stream of 19.0 Mbps).
The device offers an attractive alternative to installations based on HDMI splitters and cables.
The configuration of all parameters is performed using the buttons and display located on the front of the modulator and with the use of software on the CD-ROM supplied by the manufacturer.
