Details
Note: Version 4.0 is not compatible with version 3.0 and 2.0 devices.
Signal HD HDMI to IP converter enables connection of high-definition signal (HD) to the receiver (TV set, monitor) equipped with HDMI interface via CAT5e or CAT6 cable. The device also enables transmission of remote control signal, e.g. to control a DVD player. The set includes a transmitter and a receiver.
Key features:
- transmission via one CAT 5e/6 cable
- UDP/IP transmission (multicast)
- point-to-multipoint connection possible
- 1080p picture mode
- remote extension cable
- maximum cable length 100 m
The outgoing IP signal from the transmitter can be fed to an Ethernet switch to be distributed to a larger number of receivers. The throughput of the compressed signal at the transmitter output is approximately 30 Mbit/s. A suitable receiver is required to decode the signal correctly - viewing the image on a PC equipped with a network card is not possible.
The set is perfect for connecting remote HD source like sat receiver, Blu-ray player, PC, game console etc. to HD-enabled TV/monitor/projector. It requires to use only one, comparatively thin cable, which makes it easy to hide it, e.g. when installing the TV/monitor on an LCD/plasma mount.

An application of the HDMI > IP converter/extender (point-to-point)

Another application of the HDMI > IP converter/extender units (point-to-multipoint)
The device carries out transmission using the HDbitT protocol (High-Definition Digital Bit Transmission Technology). This protocol is used for the professional provision/transmission of high-quality video and audio over an IP network. The HDbitT protocol enables the transmission of video with a resolution of up to 4Kx2K @ 60 Hz via network cables, electrical installation, optical fibre, coaxial cables or wirelessly.
