- Three independently configured multimedia streams
- Allows for easy implementation of wireless networks distributing multimedia content from HDMI sources
SIGNAL-433 R86433 is a multifunctional device that encodes input HDMI signal to IP stream. The high-definition signal provided to the HDMI input can vary from 720_50i to 1920x1080_60p. The device has HDMI and USB inputs and IP output (RJ-45). The output can stream three independently configured multimedia streams using UDP (unicast/multicast), RTMP and HLS protocols.
The HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) protocol is necessary for live transmissions to Apple devices. The protocol allows for adaptation of the bit rate to the network capabilities and can be used for the wireless transmission of multimedia (including HD) to mobile devices.
The source signal may come from a media player, DVR, Blu-ray, PC, STB decoder etc. The IP signal coming from the encoder may be applied to an Ethernet switch to split it among multiple receivers deployed in the wired Ethernet network, or to a router enabling quick creation of a wired/wireless network. The bit rate of the compressed signal at the output of the encoder is limited to 15 Mbps. The IP streaming can be properly decoded by PC computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones running e.g. free VLC application.
Signal-433 R86433 has been equipped with USB port allowing for recording the source material in .ts format and playing back the same or other material prepared in .ts format. It means that the device can work independently, generating the output IP stream based on the .ts files played back from a USB drive.
The configuration of the device (IP protocols, bit rates, resolutions) is performed via a web browser. Before the configuration, the user should make sure that the computer's IP address is in the same class of addresses as the default address of the encoder and that the addresses are not the same. Inappropriate addressing will make it impossible to connect with the device.
