Details
The Hikvision DS-2CD2646G2H-IZS tubular camera is part of the second generation of cameras based on AcuSense technology, which offers even greater effectiveness in filtering out false alarms. It is designed for use in surveillance systems based on IP recorders. The camera is fitted with a 1/3" CMOS sensor with a resolution of 4 Mpix and an infrared illuminator with a range of up to 60 m, ensuring clear visibility in low-light conditions. It features a 2.8–12 mm variable focal length Motozoom lens, allowing remote adjustment of the field of view within the range of 105.4–19.3°. The lens focus is adjusted automatically when the focal length is changed. Support for both older and the latest H.265(+) compression methods allows for extended recording retention times whilst maintaining excellent image quality and ensuring backwards compatibility. Additional features designed to enhance image quality, such as AGC, 3D-DNR, WDR (120 dB), BLC, HLC and built-in video analytics (VCA), enable the camera to be used for more advanced projects. The high-grade IP67 weatherproof housing protects the electronics from adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered conventionally via DC 12 V or via PoE (compliant with the 802.3at standard).
PLEASE NOTE! The latest version of the software is available at this link.

The camera described here is part of the EasyIP 4.0 series, which includes models equipped with two key technologies - AcuSense (1st and 2nd gen.) or ColorVu. AcuSense cameras, based on Deep Learning algorithms, enable the classification of targets due to human and vehicle silhouette using intelligent VCA analysis , such as motion detection (II gen. traditional algorithm), intrusion detection, line crossing, entry and exit of an area. With accurate recognition, the system can filter out up to 90% (2nd gen. over 90%) false alarm triggering events (e.g., animals, rain, cobwebs, moving leaves, etc.) , which significantly increases the accuracy and efficiency of alarming and contributes to lower labor costs. With the ability to display a color image in all conditions, ColorVu cameras allow you to record all the details in the monitored scene. With the AcuSense series DVR , you can fully use the possibilities of the Easy IP 4.0 series. By connecting any camera , that does not support AcuSense (e.g. ColorVu) and AcuSense cameras to any number of channels, you can filter out false alarms, classify and quickly search for events by silhouette of a person or vehicle. The following are the options which combine solutions from different series.
![]() Filtering out false alarms in all channels and quick object search | ![]() Filtering out false alarms and quick object search in selected channels | ![]() Filtering out false alarms by AcuSense cameras | ![]() 24/7 color video. False alarm filtering and quick search for objects on specific channels. |
The motion detection has been enhanced with AcuSense technology, allowing events to be filtered for human and vehicle silhouettes. This improves the performance of the entire system and reduces the number of false alarms that reach the user. Once the filter is turned off, detection can continue as before, detecting all objects.
Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems. It offers IP camera viewing, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, alarm event handling, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, hard disk recording and much more.
Hikvision devices can be operated via mobile phones with Android or iOS using the dedicated Hik-Connect mobile application. It can be used to remotely view live video from DVR, NVR, IP cameras, door entry systems using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks and also to view recorded videos. Operating video intercoms with the application provides also remote opening of the electric strike, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the subscriber. The application allows connectivity via IP addresses and via P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of the cloud service that provides access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.

The degree of protection (IK rating) against external mechanical impacts offered by electrical equipment housing is defined in the EN 62262 standard. The EN 62262:2003 standard also specifies the conditions of the testing procedure.
The camera has an IK10 rating.
