The DS-2CD2687G3-LIZSY is a Hikvision tube IP camera belonging to the EasyIP 4.0 series. Thanks to ColorVu 3.0 technology, which utilises HikAI-ISP artificial intelligence-based signal processor and 3D LUT colour correction technology, users can enjoy colour images around the clock with important identification details. The AcuSense 2.0 technology, which is perimeter protection with human/vehicle object filtering, together with the AcuSerch function, allows even better false alarm filtering and fast search for objects of interest.
The camera model described here is equipped with a 1/1.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor with 8 Mpix resolution characterised by very high sensitivity and ability to capture images in low light conditions. It has a 2.8 - 12 mm variable focal length Motozoom type lens that allows the viewing angle to be remotely changed from 112.3 to 41.2°. Lens focus is automatically adjusted when the focal length is changed. Hybrid IR and white light LED illuminator with a range of up to 60 m ensures proper observation in night conditions. Support for legacy and the latest H.265(+) compression methods, allows for extended archiving time of recordings while maintaining excellent image quality with backward compatibility. Additional image quality enhancement features such as AGC, 3D-DNR, AI WDR (130 dB), BLC, HLC, EIS, lens distortion correction and built-in image analytics (VCA), operating on a deep learning algorithm, allow the camera to be used for advanced projects. The camera can be powered by conventional DC 12 V or by PoE (802.3af compliance).

Hikvision has launched the EasyIP 4.0 Plus camera series, which offers advanced video surveillance solutions. This series integrates the latest technologies such as ColorVu 3.0, AcuSense 3.0 and Audio 2.0, which provide users with higher image quality, more precise threat detection and better audio communication. Cameras in this series also feature improved corrosion resistance and more environmentally friendly packaging.

Hikvision ColorVu 3.0 is an advanced video surveillance technology that provides clear and colourful images even in low-light conditions. Thanks to the use of HikAI-ISP, an image signal processor based on artificial intelligence, the image is brighter, less noisy and motion blur is eliminated, which significantly increases the quality of recordings in difficult conditions. 3D LUT technology is responsible for colour correction, ensuring accurate colour reproduction and improved image quality.

Hikvision AcuSense 3.0 is an advanced video surveillance technology that uses deep learning algorithms to increase security effectiveness. The system offers the AcuSearch function, which allows for quick searches for specific events or objects in footage, greatly improving video analysis. Thanks to enhanced algorithms, AcuSense 3.0 accurately detects and classifies threats - effectively distinguishing between people and vehicles, allowing for a significant reduction in false alarms.

The camera uses a motion detection algorithm 3.0, which is based on deep learning and allows alarms to be filtered for human and vehicle silhouettes, thus eliminating false alarms caused by e.g. animals, leaves, or changes in light. This algorithm is even better at handling difficult lighting conditions compared to the previous generation, taking motion detection to the next level. The newer version of the algorithm means that stationary vehicles no longer trigger false alarms caused by light reflecting off them, further improving the reliability of the entire system.

Another improvement is AI WDR, which allows for a natural combination of bright and dark areas of the image. The bright areas are not overexposed and the details in the dark areas remain visible. In addition, AI WDR allows the WDR function to be switched on and off automatically depending on the ambient brightness, eliminating the need for manual adjustment.

Hikvision has introduced Smart Hybrid Light cameras, which combine the advantages of traditional cameras and those of the ColorVu series. Traditional cameras have an IR illuminator that illuminates the scene, making it possible to record images at night, at the expense of losing colour detail. ColorVu cameras, can record colour images around the clock, but the use of white light illumination is not always expected. To meet these requirements, Hikvision is introducing smart hybrid cameras with ColorVu technology, featuring three scene illumination modes - classic infrared, white LED light and smart mode. In smart mode, the camera triggers white light when a human silhouette or vehicle is detected, thereby providing a colour image. Once the object leaves the detection zone, the camera switches back to IR mode. In addition to illuminating the scene to provide a colour image, the LED light has the additional function of deterring an intruder. The user decides which mode the camera will operate in.

Compression is a very important parameter proving the device advancement. The better the compression, the lower the bandwidth requirement with the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and the demand for disk capacity by half. Therefore, hard drives with a halved capacity can be used, or recordings can be stored for twice as long. Its improved version H.265+ has been optimized for use in CCTV monitoring systems. They allow for further reduction of data streams.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems. It offers IP camera viewing, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, alarm event handling, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, hard disk recording and much more.

Hikvision devices can be operated via mobile phones with Android or iOS by using the dedicated Hik-Connect mobile application. It can be used to remotely view live video from DVR, NVR, IP cameras, door entry systems using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks and also to view recorded videos. Operating video intercoms with the application provides also remote opening of the electric strike, receiving notifications and transferring calls from the entrance panel to the phone in the absence of the subscriber. The application allows connectivity via IP addresses and via P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of the cloud service that provides access to devices in the absence of an external IP address.
The ANR (Automatic Network Replenishment) function in Hikvision cameras ensures recording continuity in the event of a network failure. If the connection to the NVR is interrupted, the camera automatically saves the recordings on a microSD card. Once the network connection is restored, the missing recordings are transferred to the recorder, ensuring that the recordings are complete. Thanks to ANR, users do not have to worry about losing video footage during network problems, which increases the reliability of the surveillance system.

- 3D-DNR (3D Digital Noise Reduction): three-dimensional digital noise reduction, which improves image quality in low-light conditions
- AI WDR (Artificial Intelligence Wide Dynamic Range): technology that combines wide dynamic range (WDR) with artificial intelligence (AI) to improve image quality in challenging lighting conditions
- BLC (Backlight Compensation): backlight compensation that improves the visibility of objects against a strong light source
