Details
The HM-TD2618-7/G0/T1A is a bispectral IP camera from Hikvision’s HeatPro series, which combines the advantages of visual and thermal imaging. It is equipped with two image sensors: an optical CMOS sensor with a resolution of 2688 x 1944 px and a thermal sensor with a resolution of 160 x 120 px with a lens having a focal length of 6.9 mm. The camera enables simultaneous viewing of visible light and thermal images, as well as the implementation of bispectral image fusion, ensuring effective detection and monitoring of objects during the day, at night and in adverse weather conditions. The built-in VCA 3.0 analytics, utilising deep learning algorithms, enables effective perimeter protection with the classification of people and vehicles, thereby reducing the number of false alarms. The camera also offers temperature measurement, fire detection and smoke detection functions, making it suitable for both facility security systems and applications requiring early hazard detection. The device is equipped with a hybrid illuminator combining IR and white light – Smart Hybrid Light – with a range of up to 60 m, enabling effective scene illumination and the implementation of light alarms. The camera supports the ANR function, features a microSD card slot with a capacity of up to 512 GB and includes alarm and audio interfaces, enabling integration with security systems. The sealed housing, with an IP67 protection rating and IK10 mechanical resistance, ensures reliable operation in demanding environmental conditions. The camera can be powered by DC 12 V or via PoE compliant with the IEEE 802.3at standard.
PLEASE NOTE! The latest version of the software is available at this link.

HeatPro technology
The HeatPro technology combines thermal imaging capabilities with intelligent AI analysis to create a system designed to provide reliable, round-the-clock protection of premises. Detecting objects based on the heat they emit ensures high performance regardless of lighting conditions and adverse weather conditions, such as fog, rain, snow or smoke. The use of artificial intelligence algorithms enables the intelligent classification of people and vehicles and effectively reduces the number of false alarms triggered by animals or elements of the environment. As a result, HeatPro technology is suitable for use wherever reliable perimeter protection and effective detection of potential threats are required. (The availability and scope of individual features may vary depending on the camera model.)

The HM-TD2618-7/G0/T1A camera features VCA 3.0 image analytics based on deep learning algorithms. This combination enables the camera to be used effectively for perimeter security, to classify objects as people or vehicles, and to minimise the number of false alarms. There are 4 types of VCA analysis available: line crossing, intrusion detection, zone entry and zone exit. A maximum of 8 analysis rules can be activated simultaneously. Temperature measurement is possible within a range of -20°C to 150°C with an accuracy of ±8°C. The camera allows for the configuration of 3 types of temperature measurement rules: point, area and line. A maximum of 21 measurement rules can be defined. The fire detection function enables dynamic detection of fire sources. The camera also supports a smoke detection algorithm (for cigarette smoking).
Principle of operation and advantages of thermal imaging
A thermal imaging camera is the perfect complement to video surveillance operating in visible light and reflected infrared. Analogue or IP cameras used in surveillance enable people to be correctly identified and recognised during the day and at night when an infrared illuminator is used. A thermal imaging camera does not need any illumination to work properly. Its operating principle is completely different from that of conventional cameras. Any body with a temperature above absolute zero (0 K = -273.15 °C) emits infrared radiation. Due to the existing relationship between temperature and radiation intensity, the thermal imaging camera receives infrared waves and calculates the temperature value based on their length. Using a thermal imaging camera, the temperature distribution on the surface of the body under examination can be seen and the temperature values measured.
Examples of application of thermal imaging
- detection of intruders even in bad weather conditions (snow, rain, fog)
- power plants (hot wires, bad contacts, overloaded fuses, transformers)
- fill level of tanks (based on temperature distribution)
- mechanics (detection of the most overloaded components)
- circuit protection using VCAs
- supporting traditional monitoring
- landfill sites
- border crossings
- prison facilities
- factories
- fire detection
- warehouses, railway stations, etc.
A very important parameter indicating the sophistication of the device is the compression. The better the type of compression, the less bandwidth is required for the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and storage requirements by half on average. As a result, hard drives with half the capacity can be used or recordings can be stored for twice as long.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems, such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems by offering viewing from IP cameras, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, handling of alarm events, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, recording to a HDD and many more.
To operate Hikvision devices using mobile phones running the operating systemAndroid or iOS, the Hik-Connect mobile app is available. It can be used to remotely view live footage from DVR recorders, NVR, network cameras, video door phones using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks, as well as for viewing recorded footage. Operating video door phones via the app also allows you to remotely unlock the electric strike, receive notifications and forward calls from the entry panel to your phone should the occupant be absent. The app supports connectivity via IP addresses and via the P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of a cloud-based service that enables access to devices when there is no external IP address.
