The HM-TD1228T-3/G1/T3A is a bispectral thermal IP camera from Hikvision’s HeatPro series, which combines the advantages of traditional and thermal imaging surveillance. It is equipped with two image sensors: an optical CMOS sensor with a resolution of 2688 x 1944 px and a thermal sensor with a resolution of 256 x 192 px. The camera enables simultaneous viewing of visible light and thermal images, as well as the fusion of bispectral images, ensuring effective identification of objects under various lighting and weather conditions. Built-in intelligent image analysis functions, precise temperature measurement and threat detection, enable the device to be used in perimeter security systems, facility monitoring, industrial process control and locations requiring rapid detection of undesirable events. The camera is equipped with a hybrid IR illuminator and Smart Light white light, enabling additional scene illumination and the implementation of light alarms, an ANR function, and a microSD card slot supporting storage media with a capacity of up to 512 GB. The sealed housing with an IP67 protection rating ensures resistance to adverse weather conditions. The camera can be powered conventionally via DC 12 V or via PoE compliant with the 802.3af standard.

HeatPro technology
The HeatPro technology combines thermal imaging capabilities with intelligent AI analysis to create a system designed to provide reliable, round-the-clock protection of premises. Detecting objects based on the heat they emit ensures high performance regardless of lighting conditions and adverse weather conditions, such as fog, rain, snow or smoke. The use of artificial intelligence algorithms enables the intelligent classification of people and vehicles and effectively reduces the number of false alarms triggered by animals or elements of the environment. As a result, HeatPro technology is suitable for use wherever reliable perimeter protection and effective detection of potential threats are required. The HM-TD1228T-3/G1/T3A camera features VCA image analytics based on the large-scale AI GUANLAN model and a deep learning algorithm. This combination enables the camera to be used effectively for perimeter security, to classify objects as people or vehicles, and to minimise the number of false alarms. There are 4 types of VCA analysis available: line crossing, intrusion detection, zone entry and zone exit. A maximum of 8 analysis rules can be activated simultaneously. Temperature measurement is possible within a range of -20°C to 650°C with an accuracy of ±2°C or ±2%. The camera allows for the configuration of 3 types of temperature measurement rules: point, area and line. A maximum of 21 measurement rules can be defined. The fire detection function allows for the dynamic detection of up to 10 fire source points. The camera also supports a smoke detection algorithm (for cigarette smoking), as well as the Sun Reflection Filter and Forklift Alarm Filter functions, which enhance measurement reliability and reduce the number of false alarms.
Principle of operation and advantages of thermal imaging
A thermal imaging camera is the perfect complement to video surveillance operating in visible light and reflected infrared. Analogue or IP cameras used in surveillance enable people to be correctly identified and recognised during the day and at night when an infrared illuminator is used. A thermal imaging camera does not need any illumination to work properly. Its operating principle is completely different from that of conventional cameras. Any body with a temperature above absolute zero (0 K = -273.15 °C) emits infrared radiation. Due to the existing relationship between temperature and radiation intensity, the thermal imaging camera receives infrared waves and calculates the temperature value based on their length. Using a thermal imaging camera, the temperature distribution on the surface of the body under examination can be seen and the temperature values measured.

A very important parameter indicating the sophistication of the device is the compression. The better the type of compression, the less bandwidth is required for the same subjective quality. H.265 (HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding) is currently the most efficient compression method. Compared to its predecessor (H.264), it reduces the data stream and storage requirements by half on average. As a result, hard drives with half the capacity can be used or recordings can be stored for twice as long.

iVMS-4200 is client software dedicated to the management and supervision of Hikvision security systems such as DVRs (IP, TurboHD), video intercoms, access control, set-top boxes, etc. The software allows you to easily and conveniently monitor all systems. It offers IP camera viewing, remote playback of recordings, remote configuration, alarm event handling, two-way audio transmission, e-map support, hard disk recording and much more.
To operate Hikvision devices using mobile phones running the operating systemAndroid or iOS, the Hik-Connect mobile app is available. It can be used to remotely view live footage from DVR recorders, NVR, network cameras, video door phones using Wi-Fi, 2G or 3G networks, as well as for viewing recorded footage. Operating video door phones via the app also allows you to remotely unlock the electric strike, receive notifications and forward calls from the entry panel to your phone should the occupant be absent. The app supports connectivity via IP addresses and via the P2P cloud. Hik-Connect is also the name of a cloud-based service that enables access to devices when there is no external IP address.
